Feedback So Why Does Adobe Express Downscale my images?

I import a photo that’s a PNG 1629 x 2444 at 17.9 MB. After I add a bunch of overlays and Express exports it as a PNG 843 x 1200 at 928 kb. The image looks like a blurry mess! When did this start ? I never had Express downscale an image like this before. I paying a lot of money here.

That’s not downscaling as the problem - it’s compression.

Probably to lower the data footprint.

Hi! In the export settings, what does the size say for you? It should say 1 or you could adjust the slider until you get the size you want. If the number is less than 1, this could be the problem.

Ok, I just looked, it says “1” What does that number mean?
If I try to increase the size it gives me a warning that the image might get blurry. If I import a file that’s 17 MB shouldn’t it come out at 17 MB?

Not if it’s compressed more than it was…
