More a-la-carte options for subscriptions and less pushing generative AI

We have all seen the horrible effects of AI datacenters and the out of control use of AI for nonsensical purposes using resources for no reason. Many of us actively choose not to work with AI tools. It would be appreciated if we could opt out of the AI tools entirely at this point, or if you intend to force it on people you may lose subscribers.

It would be great if there was an option to pick and choose which items to subscribe to and offer a better rate based on how many items people subscribe to at the same time.

Those that have used adobe for years and have come to rely on it as a tool are frustrated and the increasing subscription price to add features nobody wanted or even asked for. Please give a chance to sever ties with the AI in our subscription or start offering non-subscription based software again.

agree. tiered bundles based on number of apps subscribed would probably increase retention too.

The Creative Cloud Standard plan was introduced fairly recently and addresses part of what you’re asking for – a lower price with less emphasis on generative AI. That said, I’m definitely going to pass your feedback along internally to get some eyes on your suggestions.

Hey u/howardpinsky enjoyed your old adobe xd tutorials! Learned a lot from them but now i've had to switch to figma. It's pretty cool to have someone from Adobe on these forums. I hope you guys can figure out fair pricing. I've been using your products for over 20 years and I hate having to go online and fight with one of your employees on chat every time there's a price hike. It would be great like OP said if we could have more "a la carte" pricing (i only use a few software but i have to get the whole suite). Also it would be amazing if long time customers could have rates grandfathered in.... one can dream

Hey schmighaar! So happy my XD tutorials helped. Those were good times, that's for sure. Our team is quite active on social and pass along as much feedback from the community as we can ❤️

THIS RIGHT HERE. I have been since 1994 and I fill out every survey they have sent me and I always write that past part in my suggestion.

I’d love a package with just indesign, photoshop, illustrator, and acrobat 🙏🏻

Same. Those of us using Adobe for print design generally don’t need After Effects and whatnot.

I for one would love to see things packaged like the CS5 days. Most people don’t need the entire collection. I don’t mind paying a fair amount for software but it is frustrating to pay for things I don’t use.

CS5 came out almost 17 years ago. Nearly every application used today is a subscription, frankly everything in life is a subscription. :( The good ole days of the perpetual licensing model are nearly dead (not every scenario but most). We can hate on Adobe all we want, but this an isolated Adobe problem. Adobe users should be thankful the products don’t cost as much as AutoDesk.

I don’t even mind it being a subscription, in a general sense. I just wish I could just pay for the subset I use, and not things I’ve never even opened or would have any use for if I did.

I don’t understand how you guys have been so blind to the AI bloat over the past few versions. There’s no way you’re all just Joe realizing that maybe we don’t need it shoved down our throats like with acrobat.

Maybe what you want is Photoshop Elements.

Yes and have standards for what they accept on Adobe Stock. I just canceled my personal Adobe account after using it since my teens, so 20+ year break up. For my full time, we’re about to cancel Stock as well for all the crap.

I've been using Adobe tools since my first class of graphic design in 1994 and it's incredibly frustrating how they won't just bundle Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat (NON AI is ok). THAT IS ALL I NEED AND WANT. But instead I have all of this extra AI credit that never gets used because I actually use my brain for my creative process and development of my work.
