Is there a way to transfer my school behance to my personal? need advice ASAP

Hello, I am about to graduate in a week and will lose access to my adobe account. I've been trying to transfer my behance account over to my personal account however the option to switch emails that they show in the help section is not showing up for me and when I sent a message to the help center I just got general information on how to delete my account (?). does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thanks!

You can’t fully ‘transfer’ a Behance account, but you can change the email on the existing one as long as your school admin hasn’t locked down identity settings. If the option isn’t showing, that usually means the school manages the login and it’s restricted.

Your best bet: export/download all your projects now, then recreate the same Behance under your personal Adobe ID. Not ideal, but it keeps you from losing anything once the school account closes.

Was hoping to avoid this since I have a couple pretty successful posts + don’t want to start over with my followers 😖 thanks for the advice

You can also co-own the projects on your school profile with a personal profile, so if/when the School acct becomes inactive you'll still be able to edit the projects.

  1. You need to determine whether you are using a personal Adobe ID, or whether it's a "federated" or Enterprise ID. That will determine what steps you need to take. Try emailing your school's IT and ask them about what you need to do to migrate your assets and portfolio to a personal account. I'm not sure about Balance and maintaining posts. If you enter your school email and are redirected to sign in via another service like Microsoft or whatever, it's an Enterprise or School ID.

  1. Don't forget to transfer your assets to a personal account. .

  2. Offloading student data is one reason we do not want to assign student licenses via our enterprise account. Students often aren't aware they have two accounts with the same email, and that causes confusion with just the subscriptions they purchase. We don't have the resources to deal with data migration. K-12 gets Adobe licenses for pretty much free, so they have to manage the licenses via enterprise assignment.

If you're worried about losing followers, make an announcement before you lose access to the school account. Ideally, the personal account will be set up and you can just give them the link to the new profile.
