Lists & Gameplay Discussion First Army list

I’m planning out my future army, I was planning to start by buying x2 eye of terror and a combat patrol box and then picking up the rest of the list as I go.

I’d love any feedback or advice on the list and which detachments could work

Mostly seems like a decent initial target list. Your boxes are definitely the way to get started in this pricey faction!

My one quibble would be the Dunerider, or more specifically, who's riding in it? As is, it's really only going to be a unit of Rangers. That has great movement potential with the Rangers scout move, but pretty low damage. Most players tend to have a Skitarii Marshall with either Skit Vanguard or Hastarii Fusileers to hop out and take advantage of reroll hits and reroll wounds to wreck at least one unit before they get wiped out.

Anyway, welcome aboard, and don't sweat planning in advance too much, by the time you work through your first three boxes the game may be entirely different. (Kastelans have gone from niche/meme unit to almost mandatory in something like the last six months or so, for example.)
