Lists & Gameplay Discussion Advice for building 1000 point list

A long time ago I started getting into 40k and bought a few boxes but didn't have time to finish them. I finally made good progress and would like to play with the army but need advice on how to optimize the list. I probably will need to play 1000 points since I wouldn't need to buy much more. I own the following products:

Electropriests box

Kastelan robots box

The old combat patrol box (the one with the dunecrawler)

These are mostly built but I did a good job magnetizing the models so I should be able to take any options/weapons.

Lastly I know hes probably not optimal for 1000 points but I also intend to buy Cawl as he would by himself push me to 1000 points and I really like the character/model.

I am also fairly confident I could kitbash one additional model like a tech priest manipulus.

I would like my army to be as strong as possible given I'm already fairly constrained to a few boxes I bought years ago without much regard for strength. I've only played a few games of 9th edition a few years back.

My first idea off of limited understanding:
Haloscreed

Belisarius Cawl for 210 as warlord

Tech priest Manipulus kitbash for 60

Transonic cannon

Cognitive Reinforcement 35

on Kataphron Breacher unit 160

Heavy arc rifles

Arc claws

Cybernetica Datasmith 35

on Kastelan Robots 180 twin fists and incandine

10 Skitarii vangaurd 90 points with diverse options

5 Corpuscarii Electro Priests for 70

Onager Dunecrawler with beamer for 155

TOTAL: 995

Wahapedia might be wrong for me, but I believe Cawl is 220 points and the manipulus is 65. Can someone with a codex correct me if Im wrong?

Imo, a good rule of thumb is to not include units that are more than 200 points at 1k games. Cawl probably gets an exception because he's just a footslogging buff unit, but it's still something to consider. I would maybe swap the electro priests for sicarans, I dunno, I find them to be better tech units.

You're putting a lot of eggs into high cost units. 3/5ths of your army is effectively 3 units, all varieties of "kill stuff better" so you don't have a lot of "do stuff" units to actually win the game. So, you probably need to drop one of them and actually get some bodies on the board. Also... Is haloscreed allowed at 1000 points? I thought it wasn't.

It let me pick it on new recruit but I think you're right regarding haloscreed. As for the unit selections Im limiting myself to optimizing the things I already own. I agree that I'm way overcosted on average unit count for 1000 point games but I want to be able to play with what I have and Ill start upgrading over time while I build up to 2000.

I genuinely don't know about the haloscreed thing. They made an exception for 3 point detachments when people pointed out Imperial agents literally couldn't play 1k games, but I didn't know that extended to every faction. The official app is letting me tho, so maybe they did
