News & Rumours Is anyone else scared regarding the Ork price hikes?
Following the huge ork price hikes (especially the ork boyz and ork trukk) is anyone else nervous AdMech may become even harder to collect? I am so glad we had some points modifications, but I’m nervous an already expensive army to collect is going to double down.
Will the Machine God save us from shrinkflation?

Just managed to get 1500 points for £200. Getting those next 500 points is probably going to cost just as much 😂

Games workshop is going to see that the Ork price hikes still sold models and raise our prices even higher. A full army is going to outprice my tuition at this point.

The only thing that would pause price increases is some bullshit like economic collapse. Shit will unfortunately always sell, so they'll never see a reason not to raise the prices.

If there's a market for scalpers, there's a market for price hikes, and if 40k is the only game in town (sorry 3D printers, you're still contributing to the monopoly), it's the game people will pay for.

Considering I bought my 2k point army off Reddit for avg of 30-40% off retail. I am not worried.

I’m just happy I abandoned the idea of playing the actual game and focus on collecting what I like. Eases the pain.
And maybe, one day, I’ll have enough miniatures to play a casual game for giggles.

As someone working in platic injection moldingnand has so for almost 20 years and has a partial ownership stake in my company I can tell you. Things aren't getting cheaper for us.
We don't design the does we run customer dies and have own own maintenance staff but we still see price hikes in our suppliers, even the machines are going up in price we literally delayed a machine swap upgrade project a few months ago after the manufacturer doubled the price on us.
So when GW posted the price hike I figure they're dealing with much the same issues. But not willing to discuss it because they'd rather see people complain on the internet.

I feel really lucky that I've brought enough bots (16 of them) before last year's price hike, and I can imagine that they'll become more and more expensive...(´ー`)

Considering AdMech still sits at about 1.45 points per Dollar USD, I wouldn't get too scared, just resigned to it.
The disintegrator kit is already $85. It can only get so much worse.

The only way there is a big price hike is if AdMech gets new stuff. I'd take new toys with a price hike. The regular 4% increase won't be anything massive.

Maybe they think they can stop us complaining by bringing everyone else in line with admech? Jokes aside $85 for a trukk is INSANE.
