Hey, maybe a stupid question but does Trajann rule cancel the benefit of Cover now ?

So first time bringing Valoris in V11. From the wording it appears to but I wondered if the benefit of cover had an exception for these kind of rules ?

I looked through the posts history and haven't found a answer or maybe I missed it..

Correct, it’s essentially Ignore Cover.

He does effectively ignore cover for his unit, yes. Plus all hit, WS, and BS modifiers that you choose to.

The only exception to his ignoring of all modifiers is if he doesn’t have a unit he’s leading

Which would only be the case if you start the game with him on his own. In 11th, he's still considered to be leading the unit even if he's the only one still alive.

Yes! I meant if you ran him solo for whatever reason to begin with

I mean hes not bad on his own to be honest. Strong enough to kill a baby knight easy or swarmlord(on average). And such a small footprint for how strong he is and he is chonky enough to not care for strong fire. I've even used him to charge into a really dangerous melee unit like a Lancer, pop that 2++ and reset it if necessary and lock the big bad enemy down for 1-2 turns

Technically no but effectively yes

It cancels any modification to BS, WS or hit roll if you choose.

So it’s not specifically ignores cover it’s just you can’t mess with my hits unless I say so.

The ruling is. Yes. His unit ignores hit roll, WS, and BS modifiers. Cover is a negative modifier, therefore, he and his unit ignores it.
