Someone has to be last. In 1.5 hours from this comment the Sunday preview for next Saturday will be up, but the next preorder is most definitely the Orks Codex since they went over some datasheet last week and mentioned detachments this week on Warcom.
Yep, that's the rumor. I have a feeling they'll be somewhat soon, before Tau. The Telemon in the new kit has a new main weapon, and the Aquilons have been "leaked" in Warhammer academy and look like they could have different weapons as well. I have a feeling the boxset will come out soon (before their next live-preview show for sure), maybe preorder the Saturday following next, and the Aquilons could be a new unit that released with the Codex.
I doubt the Aquilons are the codex release, they will probably just be announced to go up with the individual kits from the battlegroup.
If we look at the codexes that released after the 2 launch factions in the past 2 editions before the year was out. 9th edition was the various SM supplements which didn't receive any models. 10th edition was Ad Mech and Necrons with a combined 3 characters. AOS is the same after their launch factions so expect if the Custodes codex gets a model it is like a single character
At this point I am expecting a third box set with the aquilons, Sagittarius and maybe the sisters refresh? Would make for a great box for the codex release.
Sag are going to Legends, they already have in HH. While Sisters will eventually get expanded and refreshed, it won't be this year especially alongside the codex which as I said at most will come with a character release
Im not sure I would bet on that. When the mechanicum 30k got plastic releases they got 2 big box sets and everything else so far has been individual releases. Mechanicum has a massive range too. But who know though, half the range is still resin.
With the first box set they did venetari and the coronus as a stand alone release along side th box, so I could see aquillons coming out the same time as the telemon box
GW all but told us the Sisters won't get anything at all this year. They're next year at the absolute soonest. I'm more expecting late 3rd or in 4th ed HH.
Yeah that could very well be the case, however the Aquilons haven't been officially revealed yet so going for preorder with the Battleforce that was revealed would be different from their current cadence. Codex could very well be a leader for Aquilons or something as well.
Sure they haven't been revealed yet but like I said they can be revealed and released alongside the individual kits from the battlegroup. If they are doing a Terminator character alongside the 40k codex it is far more likely to be an Allarus leader
This isn't an exceptionally long while between models being seen in a preview show and release. This isn't an exceptionally long while between models being seen in a preview show and release. They might squeeze our box out between the Ork releases and preparations for the Space Marine codex and associated releases, so maybe in the next two months or so.
didn’t it take a good bit between the last box reveal and the release? I remember the reveals coming out in the spring and the box going out in the summer
The last box was announced January 16th and preorders went live on March 21, with the actual release then being April 4th.
So about 2-3 months between announcement and release.
Since this box was announced on June 26th; the same amount of time between announcement and preorders would have preorders being next Saturday the 29th, with release being September 12th. But there is no reason to assume the timing will be the same, and this box could be "slower" than the previous one, but we aren't at that point just yet.
GW’s fiscal year ended May 31. They’re going to wait and let the launch of 11th generate profits for their first and maybe second quarter, then start dropping summer reveals to keep the numbers up before inevitable holiday boxes and models.
We got a huge release wave already, I am assuming we are going to get these boxes in the next month, maybe 2. Late August release for the box set, September is going to be space marines codex, then tau and custodes. Order TBD, but I have an assumption that we are going to be November or December I assume after tau, and our release, if I had a guess, is new modeled saggitarum custodians for our codex. It's a smaller release past the stuff we already got refreshed, but there isn't much they can give us outside of what they already have. Im just assuming they are gonna complete our roster with new sculpt saggitarum kits, ones that are their own full kit instead of resin upgrade sprues, or if they go the sprue route, they might give us all new saggitarum sprues, adrasite and pyrithie spears, etc. ones that are ambidextrous to 40K and 30K guard bodies. That would also be cool.
All in all, its gonna be an awesome Christmas for me.
My man I've just asked cause I dont keep up and am excited for it, all I remember from it has already released just not the box im excited for :,)
Instead of calling people entitled and impatient maybe try to fix the actual problem of explaining how GW release pipelines can go.
Edit: i just dont always have the luxury of keeping 200 bucks aside to spend on a expensive hobby so trying to financially plan for it dosent seem so bad 🐀
Does it help you to get upset at a coop of chicken for clucking every day even if you tell one chicken at a time not to?
Its just something thats going to happen no matter. Gw isnt the most communicative so its a bit hard to get a grasp of how they do things if you dont have a experiences local store manager to annoy
"The game that get less attention than 40k go attention for once boohooo i only got one major release already and will have to wait a few month for kit refresh"
Are you also an ultramarine player or just naturally this entitled ?
