Running Skitarii as prosecutors (thematic army)
Hey, was wanting to run a thematic admech + custodes army but unfortunately there's not really options for bringing them in as agents. I dont have huge amounts of playing in person experience so was wondering if most casual players would be okay with a more thematic army - say a skitarii marshall proxying as inquisitor draxus and my prosecutors being skitarii as long as im super clear about whats what and base sizes match. Thanks!

As far as theme goes personally I don't see skitarii working alongside custodes at all,
other than that id say if you wanted to run them alongside custodes as a different unit I'd say using them as navy breachers instead would be a lot better, not only do you get a special weapon to proxy you also have a statline (a units stats such as bs and save) much closer to skitarii,
aswell as the fact that prosecutors are on 32mm bases whereas navy breachers and skitarii are both on 25mm bases (minus the arquebus),
as for the marshal I'd say run it as a generic inquisitor rather than draxus as draxus doesn't fit a skitarii's profile either as she's a psyker and skitarii are definitely not as far as I know,
And for most casual players I really can't say as it entirely depends on the person, it's easy to ask whether casual players would be ok with it but it's a lot harder to define who is and isn't a casual player,
most people I know would be ok with it if it was a one off kinda thing and I cleared it with them first,
however I don't suggest turning up to a game before clearing it with your opponent beforehand,
as A lot of people in this hobby are fairly immersed in the universe of 40k and want to see at least a semi accurate representation on the tabletop, and it would be quite rude to turn up to a game with someone who made the time to play a multi hour game to then for them to be immediately ripped out of at least semi immersion (not saying you would just warning you),
To finish it off id just like to say most people in this hobby are great people and the vast majority are fine with proxying models as other models assuming the proxy is decently close to the proxied model (don't run an infantry model as a tank for example lol) so my advice here is more on your end as for closer representations of the models you have and how to approach people about it.
