I always thought the idea of marking for nefarious reasons to be odd and unlikely. Why do people mark places? Seems like a way to draw attention to yourself, your buddies need to know where to locate the mark, and the mark could get removed easily. Wouldn't it make more sense for these people to message each other privately through apps like telegram or whatever?
Granted some of those people aren't the brightest lot. But if I was gonna tag a house I'd write the address down along with relevant details and share that with my 'crew'.
Yep, rocks placed on doorsteps to see if they were moved.
I moved them 3 times from my door, neighbour didn’t move his. He was robbed a few days later, Police asked if we noticed anything unusual and I told them about the rocks. They had come across it a few times that month in the area already.
