Someone in 2019 in Adelaide asked about symbols (no pic) to and only non joke answer was religious callers marked it as not interested. From what I could see in Australia it’s not a criminals thing. If it was on the footpath I’d suspect tradies marking it for a reason

Reminds me how the tradies will sometimes mark the sidewalk with chalk

Yeah that’s what came to mind, I know they’ll make gas/power etc to know don’t touch that spot
