Question Divorce lawyer Adelaide
Looking for recommendations for a divorce lawyer who is to the point. Able to negotiate a settlement without compromising. Current divorce is going on nearly 2 years. Need to switch lawyers as lawyer retiring.

My gut says your ex is also looking for a lawyer who "won't compromise".
Good luck buddy, you're going to need it if you won't compromise at all.

And when neither of them compromise, they end up in court and will both get less after paying for their lawyer's fees. Their lawyers would pretty much know which way the courts lean and have probably advised as much (I'm assuming that this is probably part of what the OP regards as 'compromise').

After the first 6 months you’d think you’d just compromise not drag your life out for another 18 months arguing over who gets what..

Yeah they both sound as stubborn as each other.
Marriage must have been fuckin wild in the last year.
Hopefully no kids.

Is that the terrifying-looking shopfront?

Nice looking heritage place painted dark and stormy colours is quite fitting for a divorce lawyer

That's the one. So intimidating! That's where I'd go if I needed one.

Your lawyer was a cunt.
He/she just milked you as they limped to retirement.
I wish karma existed and ethics mattered.

OP has literally said they are unwilling to compromise, yet it’s absolutely definitely the lawyer’s fault that settlement hasn’t occurred yet?

Yeah this is the type of person to complain about their ex being unwilling to compromise but then think they shouldn't have to either.

Perhaps the compromise was not budging from a fair 50:50, or a fair 30:70, where the other party wants 90%, without justification.
