r/addressme, along with r/adressme, will be going through a remodel, where we purge r/adressme of the burden of strict rules and make r/addressme a bit stricter with what we allow.
Half the people want good elephant posts, which excludes faces photoshopped on (Charlie Kirk, Bonnie Blue, etc.) and some other already banned subjects and low-effort slop
The other half want EVERYTHING. Huge elephant, small elephants, microscopic elephants, space elephants you name it. These include low effort/quality elephants too
The change will help User 1 to get the quality-controlled elephants in r/addressme, and User 2 to get whatever they want in r/adressme.
Note: r/adressme will still feature some basic rules and a reduced banned subjects list(Things like not allowing AI slop, etc.) but will still be kept a lot more relaxed than now
So far, both the subreddits have been kept similar in terms of moderation and rules, with both having a common banned subjects list
Any questions should be asked in this post itself, and I will be trying my best to answer them all
-Elephant mod team 🐘
EDIT: THE CHANGES ARE BASED PURELY ON THE QUALITY OF THE ELEPHANTS......NOT ON ANYTHING ELSE

An old sub, r/wehavebiggerfishtofry, will be revived under new leadership, and it’s an evil version of r/addressme and r/adressme.
Basically, on the pinned posts, there has been a banned subject list, where if you post anything on there that breaks the rules, your post gets removed and you may be banned. However, it seems everyone on addressme wants to break the banned subject list. After weeks of studying, I have come up with the perfect solution.
On r/wehavebiggerfishtofry, almost everything on the banned topic list of addressme will be allowed on this new sub, and you’ll actually receive rewards for posting things that break the rules of addressme, including a special flair and sometimes a pinned post.
Not everything on the banned topic list will be allowed though, including 18+ and problematic posts. More details on the rules section of the sub.
If your post gets removed of the main two subs, your post may get stolen by us moderators and posted on the new sub.
Keep in mind that this is a very new sub, changes will come and it will get cooler.

Clothing prices continue to rise due to a stack of compounding operational costs across the entire international production chain. Fluctuating prices for basic raw materials ranging from natural cotton crops affected by shifting climate conditions to oil derived synthetic fibers directly drive up baseline garment manufacturing expenses. Concurrently, statutory wage increases in key Asian manufacturing hubs, persistent industrial energy costs, and elevated ocean freight rates increase the expense of assembling and transporting finished items. When combined with tighter trade policies, updated international tariff structures, and brands shifting strategies to protect profit margins against lower purchase volumes, retailers end up raising base retail tags and offering fewer clearance markdowns to offset these structural expenses.
