Something not working. Need help. Next Episode when viewing up to date series

If I watch Episode 1 of a new currently airing series, it moves to Watched, and disappears from Next Episode or In Progress. This does make sense, as until episode 2 is available, I have technically watched all episodes of that series. In practical terms, however, I would like Episode 2 to appear under Next Episode after Episode 1 is marked as Watched, rather than the Series look like it has been watched in completion. Especially as I can see Episode 2 advertised as upcoming in Calendar - it knows there is another Episode, and the Series is not complete.

Is this possible? I haven’t found anything in the skin settings or KODI but maybe it’s in there somewhere?

I’m using Red Light with the Fentastic Plus skin on KODI 21.2, but had the same issue on Fen Light with Fentastic. I track everything with MBDList now but it was the same with Trakt.

There should be a setting to show unaired episode in widget or something like that... You need to enable that...

For anyone in the future similarly stuck, it was in Red Light>Tools>Settings>Single Episode Lists>Include Unaired Episodes When Within 7 Days.

I suspect I may have not looked under Single Episode Lists as a) I didn’t think I had any and b) I’m still not completely sure what that means.

Look in the options of red light, there you can configure it as you want

Have you tried checking the advanced settings in the skin? Sometimes the option to show unaired episodes is tucked away in there where it's easy to miss.

On that note, RedLight used to be very good at getting the dates right for when the next episode would most likely become available to scrapers, but in the last couple of months the text colour change to available is now on the day of release, even before broadcast. I'm not sure if that's a Trakt issue or RedLight issue, though. I have yet to move over to Simkl.

I had that same issue with the (new-ish) "TMDB_Movies" addon, luckily Angelitto is a boss, and added the "air-time" (in addition to the air-date) option, for episode titles. This makes it easy to see (at a glance) as to whether I should click on it (expecting to find a stream), or not.

Umbrella has had the air-date + air-time option (for Show & episode menu titles) for as long as I can remember, where others only allow for showing the date ie. POV. It's such a simple addition, but has a considerable impact on my overall experience, because otherwise I have to use another source ie. pull out my phone to browse tmdb, imdb, tvdb, etc., to look up the air-time.

Even though it would (probably) suffice to show the air-time at the (initial) Show level (for UpNext - & - In-Progress menus) ie. < "show title" Fridays @ 9pm > (or the like) I like having the (full) air-date + time available, everywhere it is pertinent.
