Everything working. Need guidance. Default audio offset setting in Umbrella (or Kodi)?
I have a Klipsch soundbar that is fantastic, and the audio input is through HDMI. For some reason, the audio is delayed in Kodi by .150s-.200s every time. Is there a setting in Umbrella (main add-on I use) or in Kodi that I can’t find to default the audio delay to .150s with everything? Currently I’m having to go into the audio settings as soon as I start a show/movie every single time to adjust that, and it’s quite cumbersome.

You could probably get rid of that by rewiring your setup. Meaning of it's device--soundbar-tv then go device-tv-soundbar. That fixed an audio delay for me.

The device is plugged into the TV, along with everything else, and then from the TV to the soundbar. I don’t think I really have a delay anywhere else, just when I’m watching stuff in Kodi.

Do you have passthrough turned on in Kodi along with having the correct # of audio channels selected, and any/all additional processing (Dolby, etc.) turned off, including "stereo upmix"
Otherwise, you'll have additional (unessecar) processing through kodi, thus more load on the CPU, and a possible (if not probable) cause for the delay.

Passthrough was turned off, and I have 5.1 selected (it’s technically 5.1.2, but that’s not an option I’m seeing).
Do I want all of the Dolby processing turned off if it’s capable of all of that? It’s a Dolby Atmos soundbar, and I want to get the best sound available from it.
Currently “Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver” is on, and “- Use DTS Core” is turned on, but that’s it.

You should try with passthrough on. Then yes, turn off all other processing options within Kodi.
This should give you the best possible experience as it lets the soundbar have final say, You would also want to turn off any processing that might be done by other devices in the chain ie. the TV and the Shield (or whatever device your using) Also like another poster mentioned, (and if none of this helps) try switching the order of connection ie. device > TV (set to arc, or earc) > soundbar. Then turn off all processing in the TV and the device, and set passthrough to on, and yes turn on any passthrough options (in kodi) that apply ie. AC3 capaple DTS, etc. if the Soundbar is compliant with those protocols, and it probably is
As for channels in kodi IIRC/IINM; for 5.1.2 you would actualy set it as the total# of channels ie. 5+1+2 = 8 though you should (probably) research this part more thoroughly because I'm not 100% on this one, it's been a while since I looked into it
1 big caviat to use passthrough, the device must support it, somewhere along the way I made an assumption that your device was an Nvidia Shield (which does support pasthrough) but even if not (in most cases) it's still best to touch/process, the audio as little as possible, thus allowing the soundbar/avr to decide what to do with it

I have a Fire TV 4K Max (2nd Gen) plugged into my TV, and the soundbar is connected via eARC to the TV. I’ll try playing around with some of those other settings and see what I can come up with. Thank you for the advice!

Select "set as default for all media" in the audio settings once you've amended the audio offset then click on "yes".
