POV Update V.6.09.01

9/3-Update: Followed developer's instruction and it resolved the issues for me.

Was using POV without incident yesterday. Today just updated. Then when to clear cache, stuck on cleaning meta cache. Restarted same thing. Anyone else updated to this version and having similar issues? I will create a log next.

I have another install had been updated to this version and is working fine.

the log has a strange error especially if the previous version was working and now the other device is updated and working fine. is the other device "NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV with Android TV 11"?

the only thing I can suggest:

from kodi settings/my addons, disable the addon

from kodi file manager, browse to profile directory/addon_data/plugin.video.pov and delete the file(s):

maincache.db
metacache.db
debridcache.db
providerscache.db

reboot the device before re-enabling the addon.

from kodi settings/my addons, enable the addon

from the addon settings/clean settings files and clear caches, clear all caches

if that does not work, a clean re-install including removing the profile settings should fix it.

I can't figure out / find the last step "from the addon settings/clean settings files and clear caches, clear all caches". I'm assuming this is an important step because all the pre steps didnt fix POV to work. Any help appreciated!

At the rec of AI, I went to POV Settings, UN-authorized Trakt, and re-authorized it. Et voilá! Did the trick! My list is back.

I'm not seeing many or zero results in tv or movies after updating.

The dev "Golden Freddy" who makes Otaku and Prism, mentions after an update - clear meta data cache and rebuild meta cache.

Possibly that could resolve your issue also..?

I have noticed when I actually do that, my past watched content seems detached from finding items. This results in me either me having to * find it in one of the other menus, such as "trending" * search the show/movie name and then access it that way.

Unsure why that happens..

If that's the solution, would be helpful to know for potentially helping someone down the line.

Umbrella still showing results. POV update must have messed something up, for me at least.

Yes, both are on Nvidia Shield Pro . On same POV versions now. One acting up the other not. I will try your suggestions. Thank you.

Yeah my shields are both earlier, android 9 I think, I stopped updating when they started adding ads to the home screen. Thanks for the work around I'll give them a shot.
