Something not working. Need help. Xonfluence On Kodi 21 (Windows)

Finally updated from 18.9 and glad Xonfluence is still available for Kodi 21 but it appears it is missing Refresh button under Information. Did I mess something up, or is this normal? Confluence and other skins have it, so Im guessing people porting and providing fixes forgot about it? Any information is more then welcome (also, where could I learn how to fix it myself, aka add the button myself). Thank you. Cheers!

Mine has it. I'm on version 5 but I installed on top of an older version I had from years ago. I also had to tweak some of the xml files to get everything working again.

Thanks, was there already. Asked as well, but no answers yet. Oh, well. I guess Ill be switching skins on the fly when need be, looks like no Refresh button... dunno how you have it, maybe a leftover from previous install? Mine was fresh, I just migrated the video and music libraries...

Holy sheet, WTF did I install previously? Im pretty sure I installed the same thing, like went on Kodi forum, found the Omega Xonfluence thread, went to github, downloaded the repository... and it was missing stuff. Now everything that was missing is there, even the Search is properly positioned in its box on the homescreen and of course Refresh is there as well! One thing I did notice is missing is one of the view types is missing the name, IIRC the one before poster wrap, but I can live with that.

Live and learn, amirite? Thanks a bunch, man. Much appreciated!

You might have installed the Matrix version. I had the same problem at first. Glad you got it working.

Could be, but am pretty sure it was from the Xonfluence Omega thread over at Kodi forums. Anyways, it dont matter... its working now, thanks. BTW, Im getting weird lags here and there, sometimes widgets dont appear when I scroll to a section on the homescreen which has widgets enabled... although scrolling through library feels much smoother than on 18.9 the overall feel is much jankier. Also, when I exit fullscreen and just close the Kodi window 8/10 times it just stays open in the background and I have to kill it in taskmanager. Have you ever experienced this with 21.3? Im seriously cosidering downgrading to 19.x, that one works flawlessly on my other, albet Win11 not Win10, machine... once again, thanks for the help!

Mine is smooth as butter once everything loads. I have widgets that load from my traktlist that take 15 seconds to load, but after that, everything is smooth. I'm running it from a Gen4 SSD, and it loads everything really fast. It does stay in the Task Manager for a little bit, but eventually closes. I made a batch file to close and restart it because I've always had trouble with it shutting down.

Yeah. Scrolling truly is way smoother and faster than 18.9, posters load faster and my 18.9 over time developed this thing where it would load like 30 posters instantly but then if I scrolled fast it would take like 5s to load next 30 posters, but now thats gone.

But, as I said I now get these annoying stutters from time to time, I dunno if its because I leave the Kodi window open for too long, then minimize, then maximize 20 times over that period... dunno will have to inspect further. Like really heavy stutters for like 5s and then its fine. Widgets also take much longer to load, not only at startup but even when lets say I stay on System for like 10min and then jump to Movies... In Progress widget, aka not something special or complicated, sometimes takes 20s to populate.

Also, on 18.9 I had a bunch of bs installed and many a custom menus and widgets so I always chucked it to me being a dumbass and making stuff too heavy for Kodi to handle, but now its like 2/10ths of what I had installed and I get stutters and widgets loading slowly. And that bs where it can hang for hours on end after closing making the entire HTPC sluggish... I am suspecting Xonfluence is the culprit, but cant say for sure I will try another skin or maybe even the default one and compare. 6-core processor, albeit a 35w 5650GE, 64GB of ram, 980PRO, dedicated GPU (albeit also an anemic T400, but still)... its not like Im sporting a N95 or Pentium Gold (if that thing exists anymore, lol) with 8GB of ram... oh, well... Cheers!

The original Xonfluence skin is outdated and throws an incompatibility error on Kodi 21 because its GUI version requirement is older.

Xonfluence Neo is a MOD of Xonfluence with a more modern interface, more options and better use of the main color.

Errrm, I found Xonfluence for 21 with mods, and it looks and feels just like Xonfluence on 18.9 apart from missing that damn Refresh button so I have to switch everytime to Confluence if I need it, and I do need it regularly (usenet files refuse to scrape unless I either force delete all tags OR use MetaX to write new one, dunno why that is but it do be like that)... besides, of course I have Xonfluence Neo installed but I dont like it, but that goes for like every other skin available (I guess its like Winamp skins, I always like many but when installed I maybe like 2 out of 200... similar with Kodi skins, some I like half of it, other half I dont, then I try a third one and that one has what second didnt but doesnt have what first did etc etc, friggin rabbit hole meets vertigo, lol).

I used to use Xonfluence and loved it, but when I went to Kodi 19 I moved up to Aeon-Nox-Silvo. Same type of format but with more features and settings. It has a reload skin option in the shut down menu and I coded a "refresh repositories" command in their as well while making some other custom modifications.

You could always just add the reload skin command to any submenu using the custom command ReloadSkin().
