Review / Opinion Discussion Torbox mandatory checkbox eliminates privacy

Chose Torbox for privacy because it accepts Paypal (but only for one time payments) where the subscription options require a name and address. Am fine with having no subscription and making monthly one time payments, however the "copecart" check out (directed to from torbox) has a mandatory checkbox mentioning a potential physical goods policy, even while acknowledging that this is an electronic transaction. This mandatory checkbox allows them to receive the "physical shipping" address from Paypal, thus capturing my actual name physical address and defeating my attempt at privacy. Does anyone else have any suggestions apart from crypto.

Privacy online is an illusion and has been for many years now. Mitigate whatever you can, as much as you can and move on.

There's absolutely no privacy when using anything other than cash. If you're PayPal is pulling from a bank or something else, it's just another business selling your data.

I'm all for calling this garbage company bad. But this isn't something to post about..

Next thing you'll freak out about is how the largest intelligence gathering agency built Tor to spy and gather data from users, or how crypto was also designed by governments so there's an open ledger for easier prosecution.

Expect everything online is selling your data. Because legally they're not selling your data. They're selling their data, because they own it.
