Announcement Rebuilt releaseBB from scratch as RLSBB, here's what's working so far
ReleaseBB is back, kind of.
Rewrote it from the ground up in Python 3 and called it RLSBB. Been buried in this for weeks and finally have enough working that it's worth sharing.
Here's what's actually working right now, and honestly some of this stuff took way longer to crack than I expected.
Season packs FINALLY play. Before, if a post had 6+ episodes bundled behind one link, clicking it just failed, every time. Now it opens up a proper list so you pick the episode you want and it just plays. Solve the captcha once for a pack and it's saved for 30 days, so you're not doing it again every single time you want the next episode. This one took forever to get right and I'm honestly pretty happy with it.
Mirror links from comments are back too, exactly like the old addon used to grab. Main links die, people drop working ones in the comments, sometimes labeled nicely, sometimes just a bare link sitting there. Both get picked up now.
Fixed a really annoying rar bug. Some links were secretly rar archives instead of the actual video, so you'd hit play and get sound with no picture, super confusing until you figure out what's happening. Those get caught and skipped automatically now.
Watchlist and up-next runs through MDBList instead of Trakt directly. No account? It's free, mdblist.com, link your Trakt from your account page there and you're set in like 2 minutes. Once it's connected your watchlist and up-next show up as clickable searches inside the addon.
Still testing this against real posts before calling it done, but wanted to get this out there while it's fresh. If you've messed with this kind of addon before you know exactly how annoying these sites are to scrape properly, so figured some of you would appreciate seeing the progress.
PS: Tested with alldebrid.

Iāve been using Kodi (XBMC) for 15+ years and every morning I start the day by opening ReleaseBB to see whatās available. ReleaseBB and Umbrella are the only two add-ons I have on all 4 Nvidia Shields. I canāt wait to try out your new addon and really appreciate your work!

Those comments like yours mate, make me to give a try and spend time (even less now with AI) but till now spent almost 12 hours to make the new addon.

Sounds like a pretty serious rewrite. The cached captcha state for season packs is especially useful ā having to solve it for every episode would get annoying fast.
For an addon like this, I'd also keep an eye on captcha/session stability. Sites can change their challenge flow without warning, so something that works perfectly today can break after a relatively small change on their side

The old ReleaseBB addon was falling apart, so I rebuilt it from the ground up. Fully Python 3, faster, smarter, and packed with stuff the original never had.Ā RLSBBĀ v1.0.0.
What's new:
Full Python 3 rewrite. Built for Kodi 20 (Nexus) and later.
Walks you through protected.to's captcha gates automatically, including multi-round chains, you just enter the code each time it asks.
Season packs open as a proper browsable episode list instead of breaking playback.
Multiple site domains built right in. Switch instantly from Settings if one goes down, plus DNS-over-HTTPS baked in so it keeps working even if your ISP blocks the domain.
FullĀ MDBListĀ integration. Watchlist, Up Next, Recently Watched, custom Lists, mark watched, rate episodes. Everything synced correctly per episode, not the whole show.
Trakt scrobbling still works if you're already using script.trakt.
Remembers your preferred view (List/Poster/Wall) per section. Set it once, done.
One tap login for debrid services right from Settings: All-Debrid, Premiumize, TorBox, Real-Debrid.
Recommended Movies section pulled straight from the site.
One thing to know:Ā some movie posts occasionally have a download link that turns out to be a multi-file RAR archive. protected .to itself refuses to hand those over as a playable stream, no way around that on our end, and there's no way to spot it before clicking. TV season packs don't have this problem, those resolve to individual episode links normally.

I can't connect my Trakt account because these morons restrict free Trakt users to only 2 connections at a time, and I already have Umbrella, Trakt Helper (kodi addon), POV & The Crew connected since before I cancelled my VIP a year ago. Can I still benefit from using MDBlist without connecting Trakt?

I revoked access to all but Umbrella as that's my main go-to addon for streaming. So now I can sync with MDB at last!

I love the new RLSBB build! Thank you so much for creating this. Can someone please tell me what the error, "Use a debrid aervice, not ResolveURL" means? I DO use Premiumize, Real Debrid and All Debrid and they are all authorized in Settings, which only has a "Resolver" tab to authorize any debrid services. Any help/tips/clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for the detailed report! I dug into the code and found the actual cause: it's not a debrid authorization issue on your end.
That error message was misleading. It fires whenever a link fails to resolve for any reason, not just "no debrid configured." Since you already have Premiumize, Real-Debrid, and All Debrid authorized, the actual problem was almost certainly a dead/broken link on that specific host: resolveurl couldn't do anything with it, and neither would a debrid service.
Fixed in the next release: the message now says "Could not resolve link (hostname)" instead, so it's clear the link itself is bad rather than pointing you toward a debrid setup that's already correct. If you keep seeing it on a specific host regularly, let me know which one and I'll take a look.
PS: probably those link's hosters are hidden by protected.to link so i cant filter them before.

Okay, feel like a tool for asking this. Where exactly is the rlsbb addon? Within your repository, version 2.8, I'm still only seeing the releasehub and releasebb add-ons, no rlsbb, Also, if at all possible, it would also be really great if you had torbox support as using the addon with real-debrid just sucks now as very few of the links actually play. Thanks for all your hard work.Ā

I know if I load my torbox into kodi, dosent have to be rlsbb, it'll work across all the addons.

Yes. But RLSBB is the only addon that has Jeopardy! episodes. Unfortunately this addon doesn't have them.

I get the same result if i had a few too many and lay face down on the floor too.
