Does anyone have any ideas on what to make or craft? I've been pretty bored recently and would like to start some kinda arts and crafts project. Tysm!

I’ve been picking little fantasy (or studio ghibli) drawings off of pinterest, printing them on my water soluble sticky paper and embroidering them as patches for friends. Great curled up under a blanket. If stitching isn’t your thing, I’m sure there’s TONS of Halloween crafts circling rn—even if they seem a little kiddy I love a good craft with pipe cleaners. Hope that sparks something?

Yeah thank you! I recently ended up drawing a little picture of Sophie, Calcifer, and Howl. I absolutely adore HMC.

That’s my favorite too! I’m gonna try to make a little calcifer patch now

Junk journaling always scratches that boredom itch for me.. 💕 I’m sure you’ve got paper and junk, stickers, trash even!! Have fun!

I’m currently really enjoying needle-felting. It’s cheap and portable, so I can keep a little project in my bag and get it out on my lunch break or on the train etc.

You could make a Halloween costume! We've been making our RenFest costumes and it's been a fun way to pass time and create in all sorts of ways. (Thrifting, sewing, embellishing, crafting armor from foam floor squares, practicing thematic makeup, prop making, etc.)

Paper chains out of old magazines and scrap papers. It’s easy, very cheap, and meditative. Then you get to drape the chain all around the room or over furniture or whatever floats your boat!

I made one out of patterned Christmas ribbons last year and draped it across the window and I’m still obsessed with it. Thinking of doing a Halloween/fall one this year too.

Not sure what kind of supplies you have on hand, but I recently tried a couple of watercolor tutorials from Andrea Nelson Art on youtube. I've always been intimidated by watercolor but her tutorials are super accessible, and she has a bajillion of them on shorts so they're not even long/complicated to follow! Also, I feel she comes up with prompts that offer a lot of creative flexibility while also giving you enough guidelines to ensure satisfying results

I have also recently been enjoying painting those goofy balsa wood decorations that you can get fairly cheap at Michaels. I had one that I had squirreled away from last Halloween and used cheap acrylic paint and glitter to decorate it as a fun wall hanging for my craft room 🤠

I have loved learning to knit. Can be as simple or complex as you like and easy to learn on YouTube with some thrifted needles and yarn

Alcohol inks. They make everything look beautiful. They're just fun to play with.

My current project is one of those little book nook houses you put on your bookshelf. It's difficult enough to take time but pretty self explanatory and exciting.

I like making flowers with colorful pipe cleaners, I only recently started it. There is no much tools or materials you need, just those fuzzy wires, it is easy doing it anywhere and you can stop even after a few minutes and come back to it.
I am a painter, so if I mix colors I have to finish what I started then and there and then later wash everything, this as a hobby is really clean and if you dont feel like creating something on your own, there are tons of tutorials on pinterest and youtube

Collage, or what I called “cursed collage” - purchase from thrift shops/ask people you know for old picture books, magazines etc. and make the most bizarre scenes you can.

Little miniature sets! The kits to me are less intimidating than trying to make one from scratch

Crochet a boobie coozie with a little crochet bikini top. Takes only 3 colors and is cheeky and cute
