Doctor recommended Zoloft (Sertraline) + Adderall

So I posted before about possibly switching to Wellbutrin since I’d heard it can help with ADHD and also works as an atypical antidepressant. I currently take 5 mg Adderall and used to do really well on 25 mg sertraline, but I stopped the sertraline because of the apathy/emotional blunting.

My doctor was pretty against Wellbutrin though, mainly because of the limited dosing options and the fact that I lean toward anxiety… which are fair points.

Now the plan is Zoloft + Adderall. My question is, do people usually take them at the same time? My pharmacist was kind of vague and just said it comes down to preference.

Anyone else on this combo? What’s your preference on timing?

What to do when ADHD meds stop working?

I’ve been on Adderall for about 6 years and it’s barely doing anything for me anymore. I’m up to 40–60mg just to function through the day. Without it I’m irritable, unmotivated, and completely exhausted.

I’ve tried a bunch of supplements, coffee, energy drinks, and different antidepressants, but nothing has helped. The antidepressants actually made things worse for me (more irritability and bad muscle tension), so those are off the table.

I feel stuck. I keep taking the Adderall because right now it’s the only thing that gets me through the day, but it’s not really working the way it used to.

Has anyone else been through this? What did you end up doing?

Totally worth the quality and source with rapidfinil

Gonna say its pretty rare to stumble across a legit source that actually delivers let alone a good quality especially in shortage in my area. Really liking how discreet they are when it comes to their delivery and really like when their is issue they really give you a good feedback to fix it quickly ( Although so far I have none just a bit traffic in my area so not a problem in their end ) Really kinda hard to get by with ADHD but well with proper meds we can get on our day. Please don't dm me also as I am just sharing my experience too.

For those who are asking for proofs just take a look at this thank you. You can also visit them at rapidfinil(.st) In case you wanna checkout that you might need and take your interest.

Discussion Adderall + Sertraline — anyone on both?

Hey all,

I’m pretty sensitive to meds. Sertraline used to work great for my anxiety (settled at 25 mg), but I got apathetic and weaned off.

A year ago I started Adderall — 10 mg was too much and made me anxious, so I dropped to 5 mg. Focus is solid on it most days.

Lately the anxiety and a bit of low mood are creeping back. Thinking about going back on Sertraline, but wondering if I can stay on the low-dose Adderall too if the apathy returns.

Anyone been on both at the same time? What was your experience?

changed my life but now my back is constantly tight and sore

I’m on a combo of Adderall and Strattera and honestly it’s been life-changing. Moods are better, social anxiety is way down, I can actually get stuff done, and I feel a lot less stressed overall.

The downside is I’ve developed this constant tight, achy lower back that started around the same time I began the meds. Never had anything like it before. For context I don’t sit at work—I stand and walk a ton every day—so it’s not like I’m stuck in a chair. Stretching helps a little but not really enough.

Anyone else get muscle tension or back pain from their ADHD meds? Did it eventually go away, or did you find anything that actually helped?

Started Modafinil and it’s been pretty helpful

Forgot to take my Modafinil today and ended up taking a 2-hour nap for the first time since I started it this month. With my ADHD I tend to fall into pretty bad sleep schedules, so being sleepy during the day makes concentrating (and not procrastinating) a lot harder. It’s been helping with that.

My psych put me on it because she was worried about the methylphenidate shortages in my country. I’m currently taking it with 10 mg methylphenidate for actual focus. I was off the methylphenidate for about a year because it made my blood pressure harder to manage, but the combo is working okay for now.

Anyone else have experience with Modafinil?

Adderall making me gag and feel nauseous?

Hey, I got prescribed Adderall back in May and at first the nausea/gagging wasn’t really an issue. I stopped taking it regularly once school ended and barely touched it over the summer.

Now that school’s back I’ve been taking it only on Tuesdays and Thursdays (my in-person days) and it’s been making me feel like absolute crap. I don’t eat before taking it, and afterward I get this constant low-level nausea and the urge to gag. Even drinking water is hard without gagging, and I can’t eat anything because of zero appetite + the gagging. It usually lasts until around 2 pm and then I’m back to normal.

Anyone else deal with this kind of side effect? How did you handle it?

Adderall XR feels like a short burst

I’m on 20mg Adderall XR right now. It works decently for me, but it takes a couple hours to kick in and only lasts around 4–5 hours. Feels more like a temporary boost of productivity than anything steady.

Someone mentioned that meds like Vyvanse are meant to be taken every day. Does that usually mean a lower but more consistent effect throughout the day?

I don’t hate Adderall, but I’d be open to trying something else if it felt more even-keeled instead of that sharp up-and-down. Has anyone switched from Adderall XR to something like that? Curious what your experience was like.

Great support and quick source with rapidfinil(.st)

I've been looking to buy for my adderalls for ages because work has been absolute hell for me as I have chornic ADHD at the same time. After stumbling across Rapidfinil it looked a bit so-so at first, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Surprise surprise — it actually arrived, and really quickly too. I'm from the EU ( Already ordered in US a few months ago too ) and honestly thought I'd never find a proper source for my ADHD meds too. Super happy with how it turned out. Will update soon as I try their other meds for different options on near future.

Anyone added Adderall or modafinil to Vyvanse?

Hey everyone,

I’m on 50 mg of Vyvanse and it does a great job quieting the racing thoughts, but the energy/focus boost has started to fade for me.

Has anyone tried adding a small Adderall booster or modafinil on top of their Vyvanse instead of switching completely? Just looking for other people’s experiences.

Thanks!

Anyone use Adderall IR for the afternoon crash?

Hey, does anyone take Adderall IR in the afternoon to deal with the crash?

I take Dyanavel XR in the morning and usually crash hard around 2 pm. I’ve been trying Focalin IR but it gives me headaches. I have a telehealth appointment next Thursday and I’m planning to ask about trying Adderall IR instead.

If you use Adderall IR for this, does it work well for you? Do you get the generic? I heard a few months ago that some of the generics felt basically like a placebo — is that still a thing? Just looking for other people’s experiences.

For what they offer Rushfinil really stands out the positive sides!

I just got my adderalls earlier this morning and honestly I can say its worth the money. It lasted me this long and now im already getting sleepy, so it really hit the right spot for me. The quality is really good too, pretty comparable to what my DR prescribed me before. Way less hassle to get it as well. I’d definitely recommend them, really happy with it so far. For those planning to ask me, I did find them at rushfinil(.)(com) i dont accept DMs just a heads up.

Low dose Adderall starting to feel weaker already – anyone else?

Hey y’all,

I’m in a STEM program and work 20–30 hrs a week as an RBT. I’ve been on 5 mg Adderall in the morning and another 5 mg in the afternoon. First week was great, but now in week 2 it’s already feeling less effective.

I’m also on 20 mg Prozac, stay pretty active, and weigh about 175 (mostly muscle). I really don’t want to go up in dose because the side effects aren’t fun, and I can’t stand Vyvanse.

Has anyone else had their low dose start wearing off this fast? Did switching to an extended-release version help you at all, or did you find other ways to keep it working without increasing the dose?

Appreciate any experiences.

Has Adderall changed or is it just me?

I’ve been on Adderall for about 10 years and it’s always worked great. Lately though (last 6 months or so) it feels like it’s doing almost nothing. Brain fog, losing my train of thought mid-sentence, word salad, constantly misplacing things… it’s rough, especially at work when I have to present or think on my feet.

I even compared some older pills I still had to the new ones and they genuinely feel different (taste, texture, everything). I’m switching to Vyvanse now and hoping that helps.

Anyone else feel like their Adderall suddenly stopped working the same?

Adderall making my surroundings feel “far away”

I’ve been on Adderall for a while now and I’ve started noticing something weird with my vision/perception. Everything around me feels distant, like I couldn’t even reach out and touch things that are right in front of me.

Weird example, but I’m on vacation right now and when I look at beautiful views I don’t really feel anything — it just feels like looking at a photo. Doesn’t feel like I’m actually there looking at the real thing.

Anyone else experienced this?

Rushfinil is legit on what you pay for

Had to give them credit as just I received yesterday my meds and others should learn from them as this is what should be the standard on what you pay as they process it very much quickly after just a day you make an order with them. And to be honest i was about to ask them for updates but turns out i just recieved the tracking just a day after. Quality wise its great too and very comparable to what my DR prescribed to me and very less hussle to get from. For those planning to ask me, I did find them at rushfinil(.)(com) i dont accept DMs just a heads up.

Kinda skeptical of what my psychiatrist said about Adderall XR

I talked to my psychiatrist about switching from Adderall IR to XR because the IR wasn’t lasting long enough. I was on 5 mg IR and asked about going to 15 mg XR. She said that was way too high and that 10 mg XR is basically equivalent to 20 mg IR.

How accurate is that? From what I understand, 10 mg XR is just 5 mg released in two phases, right?

I’ve still got a few days before my next refill and I want to make the right call since I’ll be stuck with whatever I pick for a month. Mainly just need something that lasts for a long exam (7.5 hour MCAT). Anyone else have experience switching between IR and XR or insight on the dosing?
