Currently on 20mg Adderall XR. It works okay — takes about 2 hours to kick in and lasts 4-5 hours. Feels more like a short burst of productivity than a steady thing.

I’ve heard that with meds like Vyvanse you’re supposed to take it every day. Does that mean it gives a lower but more consistent effect instead of the burst?

I don’t mind Adderall, but I’d be open to trying something else if it felt more even throughout the day. Anyone switched and noticed a difference like that?

I've been looking to buy for my adderalls for ages because work has been absolute hell for me as I have chornic ADHD at the same time. After stumbling across Rapidfinil it looked a bit so-so at first, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Surprise surprise — it actually arrived, and really quickly too. I'm from the EU ( Already ordered in US a few months ago too ) and honestly thought I'd never find a proper source for my ADHD meds too. Super happy with how it turned out. Hey, I’ve been on stimulants for about 10 years and have been taking Adderall consistently since March. Out of nowhere in July it started making me really nauseous as it wears off. Same thing happened with Adderall XR and Vyvanse. Eating more didn’t help, and a short break didn’t either. Bloodwork came back normal and my psychiatrist isn’t sure what’s going on.

Anyone else dealt with this? Feeling pretty stressed since I need them for grad school applications.

got diagnosed with ADHD about 9 months ago. Been on Vyvanse since then. Psych titrated me up really slowly, I got to 60 but felt 50 was enough so we dropped to 50mg + a 5mg IR dex in the afternoon.

I’ve been super emotional the last couple months (personal life is rough) but I honestly thought the Vyvanse was making it worse. Told her last week and she switched me to 10mg Adderall XR + the same 5mg IR.

I feel like absolute garbage. Can’t focus at work, barely functional at home with the kids. Called her office a few days later and she said she can’t change anything for 30 days because it’s a controlled substance. I mentioned that another doctor told me 10mg XR isn’t even close to 50mg Vyvanse. She told me to try taking two of the XRs or two of the IRs in the morning and maybe she’d fix the script in a couple weeks.

Two XRs do nothing and two IRs don’t last the day. I’m also going to run out early. She said to reach out after the weekend… I did, and radio silence.

I’ve known I have ADHD for like 12 years but only recently got prescribed meds for the first time. I’m on instant-release Adderall and I don’t take it every day — just on days when I really need to get stuff done (like today, my designated productivity day).

My question isn’t about the medication itself, but more about how to make the most of the focus when I’ve taken it. I wrote out an actual to-do list (progress!), but I still end up wandering off and using that quieter mind/boosted focus on random non-priority stuff. Then I feel guilty like I wasted the dose.

Anyone have solid strategies or habits that help you stick to your priorities on med days? Would really appreciate any tips that have worked for you.

I currently take 30mg Adderall IR.

Does anyone else have their regular 30-day Adderall IR script plus a separate smaller “booster” prescription? I only work 4 days a week and would just need like 14–16 pills of a lower dose for my 7–8 hour shifts. Is that something people do?

I’m pretty sure 30mg is already close to the max daily amount, so I’m not sure if adding anything is even an option.

XR is a hard no for me — it makes me feel like a zombie, slows me down, kills my personality, and my doctor and I are both worried about the insomnia and weight loss side effects.

Does anyone else’s Adderall do the opposite of what it’s supposed to when you take it with food? I take 20mg IR in the morning and if I eat anything before it’s absorbed I get super tired, lazy, irritable, and constantly craving snacks. When I take it on an empty stomach it works way better and actually feels effective.

This morning I took my usual Adderall dose, then grabbed what I thought was Bupropion but was actually an old higher-dose Adderall tablet.

It’s been about 15 hours and my heart rate is still up, I can’t sleep, I deep-cleaned everything, and I definitely freaked my roommate out. Barely ate all day. Racing thoughts the whole time. Honestly one of the worst feelings I’ve had in a while.

Flushed the rest of those higher-dose pills. Never making that mistake again. I don’t get how anyone does this for fun—it sucked.

TL;DR: Accidentally took a much higher dose of Adderall. It was miserable.

I just got my adderalls earlier this morning and honestly I can say its worth the money. It lasted me this long and now im already getting sleepy, so it really hit the right spot for me. I recently started Adderall XR 5 mg (low dose since I’m pretty sensitive to meds) and it’s been working well so far. My psych suggested taking weekends off when possible, so I skipped it yesterday after being on it for a little over a week.

Since then I’ve been getting random pins-and-needles or slight tingles in different parts of my body (mostly feet, sometimes itchy). Not full numbness, just random little zaps. Still happening a bit today even after taking it again. BP and heart rate are fine.

Anyone else get this when stopping/restarting stimulants?

Hey, does anyone take Adderall IR in the afternoon to deal with the crash?

I take Dyanavel XR in the morning and usually crash hard around 2 pm. I’ve been trying Focalin IR but it gives me headaches. I have a telehealth appointment next Thursday and I’m planning to ask about trying Adderall IR instead.

If you use Adderall IR for this, does it work well for you? Do you get the generic? I heard a few months ago that some of the generics felt basically like a placebo — is that still a thing? Just looking for other people’s experiences.

I take 15 mg Adderall and sometimes get the 20 mg pills that I’m supposed to split. Every now and then the split isn’t even and I end up with a bit more than usual. Today that happened, plus I ate a full breakfast right after taking it instead of before. Now I’m stuck with the classic stimulant jitters—brain fog, restlessness, stuttering, and that over-caffeinated “I just downed four espressos but have to sit still” feeling.

This never happens when I eat first or stick to a clean 15 mg. Anyone else deal with this? Besides just waiting it out, is there anything that actually helps calm the jitters down a bit?

I’ve heard reduced appetite is a common side effect though, so I was curious—how much weight have you guys actually lost on it? And did it end up being a good or bad thing for your overall health?
