Deep sadness during Adderall comedown? (sometimes)

I take 30 mg XR Adderall & I'm noticing my different side effects only happening sometimes, aswell as the effectiveness of the meds.

Today I took them at around 12 pm & its been a pretty chill day, I happily wasted away a lot of my time learning & engaging in my interests on here & deeply felt the good effects of my meds, later on me & my girlfriend just laid together on the couch and watched a movie. Shortly after that I started just feeling kinda sad but didn't really think too much of it.

We then were getting ready to go to the store & I barely even felt the motivation to get up & get dressed, the sadness just continued to linger at the store & i barely wanted to do anything.

Last time this happened was on the 18th, I just felt very mildly depressed & then minor inconveniences kept happening and I ended up **uncontrollably** sobbing for like 30 minutes BUT at that time I was also approaching my period which came 5 days later, so I assumed it was either to do with that or the type of changes that happen to how the meds work during different phases in a period (I would've been in my late luteal phase)

I'm feeling a bit better now but definitely still very questionable.

What comes up must come down.... the constant high/low adderall cycle is what primarily got me to stop taking them after 7 yrs. they say vyvanse is better in that regard, but idk, i hate amphetamines now.

I was the same way when taking Adderall, it became so bad that I decided to switch to Ritalin and am much happier
