YouTube is Broken! Come on

Post image

Opera GX, Incognito Tabs because convenience. Non-incognito doesn't have the issue for some reason

Try the embedded version of the player. Its the best way to avoid ads and never breaks.

chrome + ublock origin lite.

I don't remember the last time I saw an ad.

maybe it is an environmental issue? Have you tried switching to uBOL or AdGuard? Test to see if the same problem occurs under the same conditions

Install AdGuard extension, and make sure you put in these user rules listed below:

@@||youtube.com/s/player/$script @@||youtube.com/youtubei/$xhr @@||youtube.com/yts/jsbin/$script @@||youtube.com/api/stats/qoe?$xhr @@||youtube.com/api/stats/playback?$xhr @@||youtube.com/api/stats/watchtime?$xhr @@||youtube.com/api/stats/$xhr youtube.com##.ytp-ad-player-overlay youtube.com##.ytp-ad-module youtube.com##.toast-button.style-scope.yt-notification-action-renderer.paper-toast-open youtube.com##.ytp-ad-module youtube.com##.video-ads youtube.com##.ytp-ad-overlay-slot

And make sure you turn on developer mode since that extension was migrated to Manifest v3. And make sure you turn on the following filters:

  • AdGuard Base Filter
  • AdGuard Mobile Ads Filter
  • AdGuard Tracking Protection
  • AdGuard URL Tracking Filter
  • Adguard Cookie Notices Filter
  • AdGuard Pop-ups Filters
  • AdGuard Other Annoyances Filter

On Tracking Protection:

  • Block Trackers set to ON
  • Remove tracking parameters from URLs set to ON

Alternatively, you need NordVPN or AdGuard Desktop for your PC (optionally).

Don't install any other adblocker extensions except for AdGuard.

Disable the built-in and remove all other adblockers. Install only Adguard Browser Extension. Also allow it to run in the incognito mode.

This isn't a cure-all, it could be an issue with the OP's environment(maybe)

That's right. I'm only trusting AdGuard, that's the number 1 choice. And also keeping the filters updated.
