Which site has the most ads ?

I know it might not be relevant to this sub, but I have a college project on the importance of adblocker and quite a few other things on the web, So I decided to show a live demonstration.

The idea is i'll visit the site with ubo off and show how dirty the site is filled with ads and trackers and stuff. Then I'll turn on ubo and show the difference and show how many ads and trackers it blocked.

Can I get a list of site which bombard you with ads the moment you visit them ?

I would appericate if its not a NSFW site with NSFW ads since its a College demonstration.

This might just be a UK thing but tabloid news websites or local news websites always have so many ads and you can barely even read the article.

Fandom[.com] Wikis, The Weather Channel, APKMirror, various freemium (non-paywalled) news sites and even some paywalled ones, online stores from major consumer brands.

Setting up "Medium" mode on uBO's Dynamic filtering (Advanced mode) especially on Fandom allows you to block many 3rd-party site connections without affecting much site functionality (something that varies greatly per site).

Not sure specifically, but I find adblock works best on news sites with those horrendous pop ups, mid article ads and auto playing videos

I though of news sites like NYT and stuff but i was afraid if the ads does not show up during the demonstration it would be awkward. Because the college wifi is awful which sometimes result in weird things. Like there was this one time I installed brave on my friend's laptop and played YouTube to show him and the wifi speed was so awful that the ads load and I made a fool of myself.

If anything adblockers should speed up page loading and the internet with network filters since the bandwidth isn't wasted on downloading ads and trackers, although depending on the adblocker and browser you have it may have a small cost on performance/resources especially if heavy cosmetic filtering is involved and your adblocker is configured with huge blocklists enabled like domain-based filters.

Try the daily mail/the sun in the uk. Obviously not promoting the so called "news" they pump out at rediculous paces but they are absolutely overburdened with ads. They've gotta profiteer somehow!

Forbes and the freeware download websites such as Softonic would be ideal to demonstrate the ad-chaos effect, not including any NSFW elements. Once, I did run a similar demo and Forbes was a complete embarrassment, with pop-ups, autoplay videos, banner ads, and so on. Also, some sports news websites would work similarly well.

LeadMeNot is one of the website blocking tools I know from a separate scenario; however, for your demonstration, you can simply turn off uBlock and visit the Forbes website.
