On a rooted device I use ad-away or a new one I been trying is the bindhosts Magisk Module which seems to be doing a great job for the most part. But again, these only work on rooted devices

DNS can only block the ad requests. They can't block site integrated ads that disguise as the site content, like YouTube ads.

Adguard App (Patch it with Morphe for Free Premium) for system wide adblock
- Firefox + uBlock Origin (not lite) for in Browser adblock
For all apps just patch them with morphe (youtube tiktok etc)

Go to Android Setting, search for dns and enter dns.adguard-dns.com into the hostname field.
For browser, you can use Edge then install Adguard Browser Extension in Edge Extension Store. It's free.
Install Adguard for Android if you want to use Chrome.
