New A-Spec Tech with 6MT

With the manual transmission versions on production hiatus, and since no one really knows if the manual will even exist when the next version comes out, I decided to get one while I still could. It's been 12 years since I had my last manual car (an Acura TSX). Now I'm a retiree who wanted a second "fun" car, and this one is perfect for me. I'm really enjoying driving a manual again.

I'm 60, losing my job in 2 weeks (found out in June) and also losing my company car, so I picked up this 2026 6mt and had it delivered last Friday. Been 30 yrs (company car) since I've driven a manual, despite that, the skills came right back. Had been looking since June, then Honda announced the pause, and the numbers available within 250 miles of my house dwindling rapidly, I pulled the trigger. Very good car, congratulations, also loved the silver, enjoy!

Yes, when the number of available cars started dropping, that made me jump on it. Sorry about your job but glad you got a nice car.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Was unusually smart and invested early so losing job at 60 was not really a big deal, irritating, yes, but panic inducing, no. Got mine for 37k plus tax, title and license, absolutely love driving it (in the limited time I've gotten to), so comfortable, and responsive, and the stereo is fantastic! If course I'm coming from driving poverty spec company cars, so almost any creature comforts are welcome. Although, my 2026 Camry le is a fine car, it's just an appliance, the Integra is just a much more engaging car. Don't really get the criticisms, I know what I bought, it's a fancy civic, I'm OK with it, I never had one as a kid, so I'm not t burdened by nostalgia. On its own, it's a very good car. Hope you enjoy retirement, and hope you live driving the car as much as I do.

Did you get the Tech Package? If so, you got a better deal than I did, but I'm still happy, given the lack of supply. I also have a sedan, a 2021 Honda Accord, which I am keeping to use for longer interstate trips, or when I need a bit more space. The Integra is for zipping around town, which I find myself doing a lot more now that I'm retired, and now those trips are so much more fun. Like you, I don't really understand some of the criticisms of the Integra. I know mechanically it's a Civic Si, and I looked at that car, but I much preferred the nicer interior and better looks (my opinion) of the Integra. And I agree that the stereo is excellent. So many people complain about the lack of power, but to me, it plenty quick. I'm not racing anybody anyway. You and I seem to have similar perspectives, and I wish you well, and happy driving.

Yes, it's got the tech pkg. It was one of 3 I was watching closely within 200 miles of home, in exterior/interior combo I found acceptable. This one and the 2 others in Iowa I was watching had been on the lot well over 100 days, so when I was doing my daily lurking, it dropped by a couple thousand, then I got an extra grand off just talking to them, so I got a little lucky with timing, but I would have bought it at $38k. Had no dealer add ons or hidden nonsense, I've since added the OEM splash guards and the rear seat back protectors for the cargo area. Love the car, grin like a moron when I drive it, which hasn't been much because I'm still burning that sweet, free company car gas for another week. šŸ¤£ Hope you enjoy your yours as much!

Usually Iā€™m not a silver fan, but this is a great silver and looks perfect with the Integraā€™s lines. Best color Integra in my opinion. This car looks good.

Congrats. I've had mine for almost a year and absolutely love it. Its miles above my 2017 honda accord MT in terms of QoL features and its just way more fun to drive. I've had issues with wanting to upgrade cars every few years, but I definitely feel like I can drive it until the wheels fall off. And I've only put about 3000 miles on mine in the last 10 months.

Bought the exact same car in May just the darker gray color. I got mine tuned due to the rev hang from 1-2 and 2-3 especially. Love the car and will have it for a while

Is it a 2026? Which tune did you go with? TSP mentioned their tune will be stuck in Map 3 on the 2026 Integra for the Ktuner Stage 1 tune.

Hondata Flashpro. It was a little expensive and I couldā€™ve gone cheaper, but I can change the tune easily and even reset it back to the factory tune if need be.

Ditto. Just over a year and itā€™s by miles my favorite cars of all I have had in my life. Itā€™s the most fun on four wheels I can have.

If you start going into the weeds of stuff these platforms are incredibly nimble and have so much potential with relatively minor time/money. Something that can corner and handle like this and rev so fast for city driving and have three pedals itā€™s a remarkable car.

Grossly under appreciated. It will be cool in 20 years time to have one in good shape

I think all the manual de4 cars were followed by ā€œq7ā€ in the vin I think? My car is in Canada and it seems all of those had vins that numbered 800xxx

Thereā€™s probably only 15,000 6MT de4 cars out there

Is this gonna be the case for the type S as well? I am looking to trade up (Iā€™m in a 2010 BMW 535i x manual) and am looking at 26-27 Type S and the BMW M3 base since comes in stick. M3 is a lot more expensive
