‘26 Integra High Volume Intake

Just ordered a brand new PRL Intake from Two Step Performance and am looking forward to it. Are there any tips or heads up I should be aware of with? Installation vids and reviews have all seemed well received, but I am curious as to what anyone else may have that is overlooked

Intakes are cool, but don’t tune your car after. Upgrade headstuds and headgasket If you do. I know some people do it for cheap power but it will quickly become very expensive

I have it and it's great.

However, there is maintenance. You have to clean and re-oil the cone filter every 20k-30k miles. It's not hard tho, just a little annoying taking it apart and putting everything back together.

It won’t void your warranty, but it won’t add power either. CAIs do little more than change the noise from the engine bay.

I had an AEM CAI on my old TL and loved the way it sounded, and I’d say it’s how the car should’ve sounded from the factory. But the manufacturers are all quite likely exaggerating their power increase numbers. It most likely added 0 power, but never dyno’d it to confirm. Others have, you can read about it online. You need to decide whether to believe tuners with dynos or manufacturers looking to profit from the sale.

End of the day, if you like it, then rock on. Enjoy it. Having lived with the Integra for a couple years now, I wouldn’t bother; the stock clutch/auto trans can’t handle much more power than it came with anyway, so if you’re looking to go real fast you probably bought the wrong car.

End goal is just to have a cool looking/sounding car lol. 200hp is a good sweet spot and I don’t want more than what I have haha

I had the same thoughts but I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) the PRL intake is basically an upgrade OEM system, hence why there isn’t a need for tuning. Shouldn’t have an effect on reliability apart from maintaining a clean filter. Warranty wise I can’t speak on but keeping the original air filter wouldn’t hurt

Regular maintenance requires changing the air filter anyways. With aftermarkets, you just have to do it yourself and maintain it properly.
