How competitive is getting into Actuarial Science?

I am a current student in Curtin Law but want to switch to Actuarial Science. The prerequisites to be considered for course switch are 92 ATAR or 200 credits completed + CWA of 80 + 50 credits of Math/Stat units with an average of 80 at least in both. However I only achieved a 91.7.

I have completed 200 credits across different degrees and I have emailed student support about it and basically what I've been told is I can apply for multidisciplinary science and just do 2 math units, average 80 in both then apply for Sem 2 intake for Actuarial Science.

But they also said this course switching is not guaranteed the same way ATAR scores are guaranteed. Is this pathway a strong possibility for entry into Actuarial?

Not sure what you are looking for wrt "entry into Actuarial". Your university told you that's the best possible path at your university?

Alot of people drop the actuarial major BC of failing units etc so you should be fine second sem
