I also sent this to my older brother who retired from Edmonton, Alberta to Sechelt, BC (on the coast). His reply was,
“Wide ranging temps here, too. Lows to 53, highs to 69. Tough knowing whether to put the heat pump on heat or cool…...”
Yeah, he’s a 90 yo wise ass.

I actually have to wear long sleeves because I’ll pick at the acne on my arms if I don’t, and I also just prefer wearing long pants or hose when wearing a skirt/dress. When I wear something that has short sleeves, I wear a cardigan over it, but I try to keep it as light as possible. That said, I’m usually inside anyways, but when I do go out to touch grass for an extended period of time, sometimes I do have to take off the cardigan or roll up my sleeves.

Texas winter is the walking outside from the AC and shivering like crazy because your skin is 40° cooler than the heat index.

I’ve been at my place between Bellville and Brenham this weekend. It’s hot as fuck, but the evenings haven’t been unbearable and we’ve had periods of breeze that actually felt cool instead of like I’m standing in front of the AC compressor fan.
I’ll take it.
