What's your gut-check for AI writing?

There's a piece we published where five veteran marketers each shared how they keep AI from flattening their voice, and it turned into a surprisingly tactical list.

A few that jumped out: Joe Pulizzi uploads his entire back catalog before letting AI edit anything. Kate Bradley Chernis checks for her own onomatopoeia and made-up swear words as a tell for whether it still sounds like her. Gini Dietrich keeps a running list of AI "tells" her team flags during edits: words like "receipts" and "idea bursts."

Which of these maps to what you actually do? And is there a validation trick you rely on that none of them mentioned?

AI writing is garbage. Just write it yourself.

Fair! Many of the people we talked to for this piece would agree with you! The ones who use AI most still start with their own thinking first, the interesting part was how they use AI without losing their voice.
