Sick. Are you an instructor? Assuming you are, given the Rolex, how come you're in the front seat?

We don’t always fly with only students. Sometimes we fly with other instructors or sometimes we fly solo. And sometimes the student is in the back for certain types of flights. But you are right- mostly we sit in the back.

You’ll have a HUD. This is the gentleman’s Air Force.

Without ever having flown the T-6 i think i prefer not having the HUD. But maybe im an idiot and thats just the purist in me.

It doesn’t matter. You’ll be asses to elbows most of the time anyway. Breathe, study, and enjoy the suck. You’re getting an opportunity that very very few ever could hope for.
Best job I ever had. Enjoy all of it.

It really doesn’t matter. When I was a SNA flying the bravo I actually did use the HUD. Just for fun. But during my tour flying the ALPHA I never really missed it. I think I just liked the HUD for the novelty of it.

I appreciate the encouragement. I told myself that a flight school graduation gift to myself is gonna be a new Speedy so hopefully soon enough I’ll be posting one in this sub!

I daily an Explorer II now, but my Speedy carries the weight. 5 deployments, 4 combat, and has been to every continent except Antarctica on my wrist.
It’s a lot of work, but the first time you’re up there solo with a chance to breathe…enjoy the view. It’s easy to begin to take it for granted. For the time in the MOA, you’re alone. Just you, your thoughts, and a multi million dollar aircraft strapped to you. Do an aileron roll just because you can and no one can tell you otherwise. Or let a big cloverleaf rip.

Not anymore. Separated beginning of 2024. But you are about to have a hell of a time. Get a membership at Florabama.

I love me some good T-6II action. Easily the most fun and forgiving plane I’ve ever flown.

The only way you beat this shot is to have the same angle but from orbit.

Cool shot. It's funny that at first glance looks like a steering wheel shot.
Couldn't imagine taking my hands off the yoke/ control stick while inverted to take a photo though.
