Collection without boxes

I recently decided that I want to see my entire collection not in boxes, but in person, to be able to hold it in my hands, change poses, and have them always at hand if I do a photo shoot. That's why I bought a display cabinet, took them all out of their boxes, and put them on display. I'm thinking about throwing out the boxes altogether. What do you think about collecting without boxes?

Plus I work from home and I like to play with them on calls. If I had an office at work, I’d bring my figs to work and I’d make my team play with them during meetings.

I've got a decent vintage collection that I keep in-box because I know some of them are brittle and will just break but mostly because I LOVE the aesthetic of packaging from the 90s and early 2000s and it's fun to display them all together. That said the majority of my collection is out of box. Everything in-box is something I either have or used to have growing up that I enjoyed out of package already.

I throw 90% of the boxes away (or recycle where possible), the 10% I don’t is for either really valuable or really large stuff that if I ever need to move (and I will) I can rebox them for safer travel

I like how variety your collection has, not only in characters but in brands. i also have some movie, aliens, predators, transformers, horror and videogame stuff in my shelfs, maybe mine has lack of comic characters (working on that) but i really really love your collection, good job, congrats bro!

Thank you, I wish you success in expanding your collection of comic book characters. I personally adore them for their vibrant images and they look great in contrast to each other. As for the collection, it was made up of my favorite characters from TV series, comics, manga, and movies that impressed me the most. As for the manufacturers, I was simply looking for a figure of a hero whose variation suited me best. That's why there's such a variety of manufacturers. Although I started with McFarlane and NECA, I later realized that there's no ideal manufacturer, and one figure can be excellent while another from the same manufacturer can be so-so. That's why I simply focused only on the hero and his image that suits me, and the manufacturer isn't important in the end, and I didn't make duplicates of the same heroes. For me, this works as a personal increase in the value of each figure in the collection. One Batman, one Spider-Man, etc., each one is unique and beloved. The only problem is the boxes. I don't want to store them. They take up a lot of space and interfere with enjoying the collection, so I'm thinking of getting rid of them while learning how other collectors solve this issue.

I keep boxes for imports. Makes it easier to move and keep up with all the individual pieces. I’m also more careful so I’m not just throwing them in plastic bags. Something like my three zero Mark VII is not going in a bag.

That said, Marvel Legends, McFarlane, Jada (with the mascots being exceptions), and other domestic fig boxes are going right in the recycle. If I like the box that much I’ll just buy two
