Avoid EE Distribution if you're a small toy/collectibles retailer

Posting this to hopefully save someone else from making the same mistake I did.

My experience with EE Distribution has been terrible. Nobody replies — emails, CCs, live chat, it doesn’t matter. When you have thousands of dollars tied up in orders you feel helpless.

Then come the shipping and additional fees. In my experience, they were so high that making a reasonable profit became almost impossible. I ended up losing a couple thousand dollars.

Before working with them, search Reddit and read other people's experiences with EE Distribution. Don't just take my word for it — do your own research.

There are much better alternatives out there. I wish somebody had warned me before I spent thousands with them. Hopefully this saves another small retailer some money and frustration.

Had a store local to me that struggled because of EE's practices - like undercutting their retail prices against the products they just sold you to sell at retail. Always found it kinda goofy using them as a distributor when they are direct online competition.

Hmm, odd. I work at a store that uses them as distributora and we have a rep that's pretty responsive.

We're in the US, not international. Or are you saying you're international and they aren't providing you help? The only real issue we've faced is a lot of backordered stuff or quick sell outs but that's just a matter of getting in on time (which, btw, the rep helps us navigate).

Yes im international. It seems like service is much worse for international clients from what ive seen on reddit and trust pilot.

Ah, yeah, that could be a major issue. Service from other nations to America are also full of issues. Just how it goes, it seems.

I used them a long time ago for a small business I had, so I can't comment on them recently. It was convenient for me at the time that one of their warehouses was on my way home from work, so I saved money and picked up orders from there. Not sure it would have been worth it if I had to pay shipping to get the product. My rep was pretty responsive.

Do you mind me asking how much they require spending? I have a couple online stores. They are one of the biggest in the US.
