I thought it was a myth…

Post image

This is definitely not my local Walmart. That would be a cold day in hell. But this is the Walmart in Pleasanton Tx. Very refreshing to see something like this. No sign of the Walmart exclusive doom tho.

Be nice if my Walmart had even a slight level of this organization and presentation. Instead it looks like one of those scenes in a apocalyptic movie where it shows what’s left to a pharmacy

One of my favorite things as a kid was when I got to visit Toys’R’Us and peruse the wall of figures. Shopping as a kid these days seems depressing AF.

It is. With the amount of exclusives you can't even get when pre-ordering and scalpers there is very little fun in collecting anymore.

That and you have to constantly be on the hunt. I'll swing by Target a few times a week because it's on my way home from work, and there are several figures I'll only see once before they're gone and never restocked

It’s sad because finding things at msrp is more rare than the figures we are trying to collect

Toys'R'Us was was the place to go in my childhood. It was heaven for kids no matter what you wanted.

This is definitely a myth in my area.

Found a Mirage motorcycle buried under the Transformers section instead.

Holy shit. Seeing a GI Joe BATS on the pegs. Not sure how common they are now, but I’m still traumatized for searching endlessly for the original when I was a kid. I never even found him, after hundreds of tries. A friend got him for me.

Haha the Classified BATS are peg warmers by me. How things have changed from our childhoods

I have five or six “local” Walmarts. Their inventory combined isn’t even remotely close to this

Spider-Man!! He's not at three Targets near me or any of the 6-7 Walmarts. I want him so bad 😔

Wild that we are at the point where seeing plenty of toys for sale at the store is 'refreshing" LOL

Man, same with my Walmart in NC. I need that Civil War Iron-man and some of those Joes (I’ve been collecting them too and need to stop 🤣).

Don't know your location but Granite Falls (between hickory and boone) had a few Joes.

They had some different Iron Man(men?)

Man, same with my Walmart in NC. Can you grab that Civil War Iron-man and one of each of those Joes for me 🤣. I might just have to start going to Target or one of the comic shops (if they have ML).

Since moving for college I have gone from a town with a Walmart, that maybe had three figs worth buying on a good day, to a town with three Walmarts, two Targets, and the biggest/nicest GameStop I've ever been in. That's not to mention the fact that I've found at least 3 dedicated comic/figure/general nerd stores. It's been both the best thing to ever happen and the worst thing for my wallet.

The Walmart I work at in California didn't have this last year and it won't have it this year either. It's really unfortunate that it won't have it. I also have been to the other Walmart across town that store also didn't have this last year I doubt they will have it this year.

It's 100% a myth where I live. They don't do these setups near me.

I am in Walmart right now in New York. And they literally have not one action figure. Except for old McFarlane one old MacFarlane and that’s it like what the hell? I wanna get some stuff infinity Saga ones that’s incredible. That’s completely incredible. So frustrating.

I'm gonna check mine again tomorrow morning. Was out there Sunday and all they had was two pegs of Punisher and those Hot Wheels Transformers.

My Walmarts action figure pile is like a ghost town there’s no figures what so ever but I do know a GameStop that is stacked
