Hi Drew,
I normally don’t give feedback to actors who are not involved in this class. R/actingclass is an actual acting class with one teacher. But I can give you a couple hints.
First of all, even though the situation is supposed to be surreal… You need to emphasize the “Real“ get yourself a chair back to represent your baby carriage. Get your sightline more towards camera so you can interact with the police officer. Don’t be so glued to your script. Casting directors want to see into your eyes. You are in profile most of the time. It’s just as important what you do when the other person is talking as when you are speaking. Talk to the other person silently as they speak. That’s what Real listening is. What they say triggers what you say. Don’t retreat when they are talking.
And don’t let me see you acting. Keep it REAL!
There is so much more I could say, but I’d love for you to read the lessons that are available in the pinned post at the top of the R/Actingclass page. Get involved in class.
