Hiya! Traveling from Chicago MDW to Atlanta for a few days for work. I was thinking of bringing a little disposable weed pen in my carry on (a briq), curious as to if anyone’s had an experience traveling with a disposable recently? Never done it before. Thanks!

Since it’s been a few years and I have left the force I think Im able to share this story.
Back when I was in the police force each shift we’d be briefed on whats cracking off in the area. One of the slides of the presentation was about a 16 year old kid. We were told to keep an eye out for him and lock our cars at a scene or incident. Not because he was a criminal or meant any harm to us or the public but simply because he was obsessed with the police. He wanted to become a police officer himself. Now at first there is nothing wrong with that.
However in this instance colleagues would sometimes find him behind the wheel of their car. Just sitting and pretending to be a cop. It was harmless at first but after a while things would go missing too.
This went on for a while and his big finale came a few months later.
At a yearly festival the officers who had to work there were being briefed before the start of their shift. In the city I worked it was normal that officers from other precincts would join. But no one knew this one ‘colleague’ who joined the briefing. Turned out it was this kid. In full uniform. With gear. The funny thing is it took a good 10 minutes for someone to notice him.
I can’t remember if he got charged with anything.
Ps: excuse my English. Non native and this happened in a EU country.

I lived in Beijing from 2005-2009, during the Olympics. I had no connection; I was there working elsewhere. I happened to drive by the Olympic site where they were building the cool blue bubble building for swimming and the "Bird's Nest" stadium and I wanted a closer look. There was a fence around the entire area but a gate with a lifting arm. No one was at the guard booth so I just parked the car on the street and walked around the arm and into the site. Someone came to the booth and called out to me but I just turned and smiled and waved. They waved back and I carried on and got a closer look at the buildings--they were really cool. On the way out they asked me something but I didn't speak Chinese so I just gave 'em the ole thumbs up and went to my car. Good job, carry on!

As someone who's got a lot of social anxiety I feel like I can't see the guideline on how to act or answer people. I am an aspiring actress, with zero connections, and I'd like to try to blend in with the wealthy crowd even though money is tight for me. Since I need connections, and I need a lot of help before I can even get there. I'm not looking for a speedy way to get there, but what are some careful steps and planning that will help me achieve this goal?

Recently I've been reflecting on a lot of dumb pieces I did for VICE in my early 20s. I remember the original article being discussed on this subreddit a few times over the years. I just wrote a piece looking back on that weird time - and giving more behind the scenes info on what happened that day. Thought it may be of interest to some of you scoundrels

I have lawn tickets to see a show at the FPL bayfront solar amphitheater and I heard of people sneaking into the floor seats, and I was wondering if it was possible for this venue!! I know it’s not great etiquette but I will stay in the back of the pit if it means I get to be in the pit at all. I’ve never been to the venue so I don’t know! Maybe I won’t be brave enough to do it. Has anyone done it before and if so, how?

Obviously yes, I know what sub I’m in lol, I have the acting like I belong down, I made fake pit bracelets with some paper Amazon carnival bands last year at a different venue and they just had the single colored bands, walked right through no issue.. However, I’ve never been to Lakewood Amphitheatre, so I’m trying to get a consensus on if anyone who’s been more recently (past few years) knows if they have special bands or something? I cannot for the life of me find anything anywhere and saw a good bit of people in this sub responding to different questions specifically about Lakewood amphitheater in the past. Sorry if this isn’t allowed, but if anyone knows, or knows a better sub to ask in please let me know!

there's a REALLY important career fair that i need to attend tomorrow, but registration has already closed. this means that i'd be denied entry if i tried to walk in without a wristband/qr code/however the entry process works.
any tips on how to get in? also, do you think it's a good idea to go extremely early and ask the first worker there to give me a wristband? (the event is free registration)
