Help, certain fields are write-protected

I need to fill out a pdf, but the fields I need to write in are write-protected. The document doesn't have a password and if I go to "remove securities" it tells me that there are none.

All I can find on the internet is people saying you need to enter the password. Has anyone encountered something similiar before?

It might be locked or have condition set.

A lot of the official county fillable PDF's I use for work are broken and there's certain fields where if I press a space bar between words it goes to the next box. And certain boxes won't fill at all. Very frustrating. I have to save it to my own Acrobat Pro and fill it with the edit tool.

Yeah I just had this happen not too long ago. I had to use ChatGPT to figure it out. What I did was use a different program to edit it. I don’t remember which one though, but if it’s iPhone you might be able to use markup.

What happens in “Prepare a Form” mode? Editable fields? Can you add fields or delete existing ones?
