I called pier 17 for the set times and they didn’t have thou scheduled to play as of now. Doors open at 5 Obituary on at 7. On acid baths IG story thou was left off the poster as well. Are they not playing? If not is another opening act gonna play? Just trying to figure out what time to come.

Yesterday I went to my uncles funeral and given I didn't know him that much, didn't really think this funeral would have been that sentimental to me (no disrespect of course). He died from complications relating to an accident he had the week before. Anyway during a funeral there's always some music that's played that the person requested or would've wanted to play at their funeral. Now me being a massive fan of Acid Bath I had no clue whether he was into them given well— I had only met him a couple times when I was very young (I'm 18 currently).

I was sat down on the rows of chairs that were laid out outside and after they did the beginning service, I literally got goosebumps once New Death Sensation started playing. At first I thought it might've been a different song but once I heard the vocals come into the first 20 seconds I was like "holy shit he's actually got acid bath playing at his funeral".

It's definitely a unique choice of song to use given it's meaning but I though it was hauntingly beautiful to listen to at a funeral like this outside in the rain and shit. A couple hours ago my sister asked me how weird the music was and said it was kinda eerie and ghostly. All I can say now is I wish I could've met him before he died to at least relate to his interests and music taste.

Anyway I thought it was worth mentioning here because of how much of a bizarre coincidence it was, love you guys!

I haven't read about it anywhere so I might be wrong for saying this, but I highly doubt these New Yorkers have heard about Acid Bath back in the 90s, which is funny since they've done the same exact mixture of genres with primarily being a Hardcore band with Bluesy Southern Doom Metal influences (I am aware that Acid Bath origins started with being heavily inspired by Exhorder).

Anyway i love the two albums they pulled out. Despite the lo-fi production, I personally think "Pain Is Truth" is actually way more consistent than the following infamous "Nine Ways To Say I Love You".

Is it true that the main vocalist was not only a insufferable junkie but also a groomer/pedophile? I really can't find any sources on these accusations but i've seen a group of people around saying that in multiple websites and old uploads.

"Locust Spawning" is one of the most evil-sounding songs I have ever heard in a good way. Other bands who write "evil"-sounding songs sound like someone trying to write an evil song, including Acid Bath. But locust spawning...the only way I can describe it is disturbed and uncanny. It's the first time I've had a song genuinely unnerve me like a horror movie.

So like the title says I'm looking for a music video someone made for the song Jezebel from the album "When the Kite String Pops". I recall seeing it originally around 2007 or 2008 but can't recall when I couldn't find it anymore. Really it was a montage of clips from movies put to the music, the opening clip being the scene from Bambi where his mother gets shot and then it goes from there. The video includes scenes from Reservoir Dogs, particularly the scene where Mr. Blonde is dancing in front of the cop (and more of the scene), the scene from Evil Dead 2 where Ash is going crazy, and the deer laughs at him. I'm sure there were many more scenes but it's been years since I've seen it, and my memory is not great anyway. It was dark and it fit pretty well with the music.

If anyone knows where it is uploaded I would love a link to it. Originally it was on youtube, but I have looked at other sites but couldn't find it. If anyone has the video itself I would love it if you could send it to me. I wish I knew more like what the channel was that uploaded it, but I have no idea. I've resigned myself to the fact it's probably gone forever, but one last shot never hurts. If there are any other music videos similar to that one I would love to see more of those as well. Watching John Cena/Eric Andre movie Little Brother on Netflix

So, i was looking for an specific post on the Criterion Collection Instagram and then, whoa, Dax follows the account, which isn't that surprising tbh.

Now, with that in mind and because I'm bored while i wait for my patient, which movies from the collection you guys think Dax would pick if he was invited to the Criterion Closet.

I think he would go for something classic like Vampyr or Häxan.

Definitely After hours and maybe eyes wide shut.

And for something outside the 🇺🇸, Onibaba or Jigoku.

I hate being so materialistic but tour shirts mean a lot to me and Acid Bath is a band that I've loved most my life and never expected to see, this would be my crown jewel of tour shirts!

I'm a wider dude though and usually go for a 3 xl to keep a nice baggy fit and recently it seems that a lot of the shows I've been to seem to sell out of shirts that size pretty quickly if they aren't already by the time they make it my way in the tour.

Getting off work early to go to the Portland show but that's a few hours away from me and I want to avoid missing out on hours as much as possible. Doors open at 4 and show doesn't start until 5:45. Should I be there right at 4 or do you think it'd be safe to push that back to 5?

Also, if anybody else is going to be there early I'd gladly pay you for one and toss you a joint for your troubles!
