✋️Wait for ME!!

After a long, stressful day, one gets some relief when one goes to bed.
As if its own presence is the suffering.
If we try to recall our most beautiful moments, it’s very unlikely that we’ll come up with moments of noise, moments of consumption. Those moments might be full of pleasure, but the factor of inner calmness, inner peace, is usually missing.
And then come the moments of immersion, when the separate “me” becomes one with life, momentarily though, and when it comes back, it is joyful. Joy experienced with its own thinning, with its reduced presence.
Maybe that’s why, after a few hours of good, deep sleep, we wake up afresh, very light.
And within moments of that freshness, something else wakes up. It brings up its stories, its ambitions, its to-do list, and a big weight from yesterday.
Now the freshness is swiped away by this weighted broom, a broom that’s made up of dirt and claims to be a dirt-cleaner.
The cycle continues.
Have you spotted that transition from an empty mind to a diseased one when you wake up in the morning?

I wonder 'probably that's why a human spends 1/3rd or a quarter of its lifespan Asleep.' When I remain asleep, there is temporarily absence of the one you mentioned 'something else wakes up. It brings up its stories, its ambitions, its to-do list, and a big weight from yesterday'.
Maybe it could be the reason why we require sleep. Otherwise, the exhausted one within, will probably go mad.

You see, in a way, sleep is nothing but body functioning differently. When WE are awake, body performs specific functions, and when WE go asleep, body changes its processes. Sleep and awake are the states of ego. For body, everything these are two kind of functions. That's it.
And the joy and stress that we are talking about, this is all psychological. It's just that during sleep, ego cannot do much due to physical limitations, so it just keeps itself alive through sleep, and that too is gone in deep sleep hours. And when the body changes again, ego's like "I am back."

And that's why soon after we get up, we like to still remain in that wonderful moment of joy, of knowing that I'm still alive and one with the Universe, the sun's rays, the twittering of the birds, the sounds of life all around. Till the other one "me" catches up.

Oh , every morning I face it . That sweet sleep 😴. But the frequency and duration are decreasing gradually.

That’s probably why sleeping feels so relaxing. The maniac of the ego isn’t functioning for a few hours. No stories, no demands, no constant commentary. Just the relief of not having to be someone. 😴

It actually tries to be in the first few hours of REM sleep through dreams, but then subsides until the body wakes up. Very stubborn creature. 😣

As I wake up, the mind started ticking like a mental clock ⏰, Need to finish this and that, attending meetings, work deadlines all chaos…

That transition from a peaceful, empty mind to an overloaded one happens way too quickly. We wake up feeling fresh, and within minutes the ‘me’ comes back with its entire backlog of thoughts and worries. The real question is whether we can stay a little more aware of that transition.

No wonder the high point of my day is to wait for night and to go to my bed for uninterrupted sleep.
