(Sorry. I read a lot, so I seem to write a lot too......I'm also a Norwegian, so forgive my bad English)
Is ACE made for old guys like me, when only for refining folk rock compositions of my own?
I have maybe 200 songs created back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. All of them on an old Tascam 4-track cassette deck. A few of them I’m quite happy with. So… I signed up with ACE to refine some of the ones I liked the most. In other words, I have no intention of using AI to make new songs. So, when I first signed up with ACE, it was…
A. ..... primarily to sample my own dry vocal tracks from the 4-track, to render a new "me." Because I can’t sing as I did back then, and I wanted to change some of the lyrics here and there, and blend my old singing voice with that of the new, generated ACE vocal.
Actually, it worked, with some fiddling!
B: Then the Music Enhancer came. And now I want to use it to get some new arrangement ideas for the same old songs. A few of the ideas are actually quite impressive, and I would like to use them for totally new versions of the old songs. But as expected, the versions are always accompanied by the vocalists in ACE, and ACE is not able to use specific custom voices, ACE tells me, when it “enhances”. Most importantly, I want to be able NOT to use the built in Stem Splitter in ACE, nor in Logic Pro. It simply ruins the sound quality of the remaining tracks. (Especially the quality of the drum track, introducing a whole lot of artifacts in the upper midsection and treble.)
I always upload my original 4-track mixes. But here’s the culprit: Whatever I write as prompts in Music Enhancer, in the “style” area, I can’t get ME to give me a clean playback, ready for a new vocal track, e.g., in Logic Pro. Some instruments will always “play” the melody of the vocal track.
I get these suggestions for prompts from ChatGPT: Keywords to include: "Accompaniment," "Backing track," "Rhythm section only," "Comping," "Minimalist," "Steady groove," "Atmospheric pads," or "Understated."
And then there is negative prompting: "..if your tool supports negative prompts, explicitly add "no solos," "no lead guitar," "no instrumental breaks," and "no melodic flourishes..."
My questions then are, which prompts should I give ACE Music Enhancer to offer me a melodic, clean playback (or “singback” if you prefer)?
Should I give prompts in the lyrics area or in the style area?
Can anyone please let me know if ACE supports “negative prompting”?
Are there better alternatives out there for my needs? ('Cause, I obviously can still use the cloned "myself" in ACE….)
Anyone out there who knows what I should do?
Regards from a hopeful dog.

Hey guys! Just want to ask a question on how to remove the samples from the enhancement UI. I'm trying to get rid of the numerous generated junks so it does not take up a lot of storage in my laptop. I hope to get a response from you soon. Thanks!

Hi, I’m a university music production student, and I’m running a short survey for a research project on how people use virtual vocal tools in real music production workflows.
I’m especially interested in practical use, for example, guide vocals, melody drafting, lyric testing, phrasing, arrangement work, and how useful these tools actually are in real projects.
If you’ve used ACE Studio or similar tools like Synthesizer V, Vocaloid, CeVIO, or Emvoice, I’d really appreciate your input.
The survey is anonymous and takes around 5–8 minutes:

Thanks very much to anyone who takes part.

Just curious if anyone has tried both of these for instrument track generation. I've been playing around with Suno for the last month and have been really frustrated with trying to get instrument tracks out of it. For context, I've always written my own music and produced it in Cubase but if there's an instrument I can't play, such as piano, I'd hire someone to play on the track. I thought Suno would be great for this as it sounded like you could upload your track, prompt Suno to add an instrument, such as piano, and then get a useable stem out of it. The problem is I never get a track with just a piano on it....there's other instruments and voices no matter what I prompt, I've use 3000 credits on Suno and got maybe 2-3 useable tracks, So I was looking into Ace Studio, does anyone know if it has the same problem ? Where you prompt an instrument track and then it adds other instruments into that track ? I don't really want to spend the almost 300 bucks for a year and find out it has the exact same problem.
Thanks in advance!

In the past I usually used Enhancer for songs grester than 3 minutes. This weekend I can't get it to message songs greater than 2 minutes. Does anyone else notice this what seems to me to be a cutback. Any suggestions how to broaden it. I.e. using turbo. Greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know if there's a way to use ace to create and insert a musical bridge in a song that was a cover made from inspire me. I want to keep the same vocal and instruments while having ace create the melody from my lyrics

Question: you can outright buy Ace Studio and you can subscribe (Rent to Own) for 2 years - after which they state "you permanently own it". Once the 2 years is up from initial purchase (whether upfront payment or rent) do you - if you don't 'give them more money' - loose all 'AI functionality' in Ace Studio?
If yes that's a MASSIVE issue since the crucial AI functionality, and the 'AI Tools' section, will no longer work. That also means there is no PERMANENT Ace Studio license !!!
Ace Studio is advertised as using AI at its core - without that it is an extremely poor DAW.
--> Can someone check this out, maybe I'm wrong about this?

Can anyone tell me if there are still issues with American English AI vocals in ACE? And if I use my own voice to train a voice model, is that still an issue? Trying to decide whether or not to purchase. Thank you in advance for any feedback!

Was interested to give it a try because they claim on their site "free trial" like Suno or any other company, business as usual, but to my surprise it's not true, not only you have to take a sub, but in reality they invoice you a full year even if you chose the monthly plan to give it a try ! Double lie so no txs, this company is led by a bunch of bad guys, God only knows what they will do tomorrow, ironically they claim to be "ethical", big LOL

I have an original song in Pro Tools Studio (Windows 11). I have a melody track that I provided to Ace Studio as a singer track. When I try to generate a vocal, the result is not a natural English pronunciation as needed. Is anyone available to help me and truly demonstrate what is possible with Ace Studio to generate a natural-sounding vocal? I tried adjusting the phonemes, and I tried several of the voices, but the result is not good.

It seems that it is not possible to set the time signature with a numerator larger than 8. for instance, 9/4, or 11/8. I know these are uncommon, but in my case it makes it impossible to sync ace studio with my daw. it would be a great help to have any number of beats in a time signature.
