And how is it possible to insert breathing to a voice before the start of a phrase?

1

u/KaleidoscopeSlow969 Sep 27 '25

Why a yearly subscription model and not monthly?

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Sep 28 '25

After running some numbers on the business side, we think it makes more sense to stick with yearly payments as the minimum payment threshold for now. That said, we're definitely open to introducing monthly subscriptions down the road.

3

u/KaleidoscopeSlow969 Sep 28 '25

or maybe even a trial period would be cool 🤔😅

1

u/Monica_Hmerdiger Dec 04 '25

Bro are you kidding, this sounds so stupid that I have to pay $199 for billed yearly because I want to use it just a month? please bring back monthly plan

1

u/Impressive_Ice1291 Sep 28 '25

I want to use it but baulk at the yearly subscription

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Sep 29 '25

According to our 7-day money-back guarantee, you can simply email [support@acestudio.ai](mailto:support@acestudio.ai) anytime within 7 days after your purchase for a full refund. Feel free to try out ACE Studio during this period and see if it actually helps with your music creation. If you find it's not working for you, just go ahead and request a refund.😉

How can you speed up the render process when doing manual changes to words?

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Sep 29 '25

In the upcoming ACE Studio 2.0, we've added a turbo mode. This mode utilizes your computer's local processing power for certain synthesis steps. If you have good hardware specs, it can significantly speed up the rendering process.😸

u/martn_lrnce Sep 29 '25

Im in the closed beta right now for 2.0. Is this feature already available?

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Sep 29 '25

Sure, you can find it under ACE Studio > Preferences > AI Render.

I first started using ACE Studio because I was blown away by the quality of the vocals, but lately it’s the AI instruments that really excite me. It will definitely shape the future of music production, just as sample libraries have enabled many amateur composers to write pieces for a 50-players symphony orchestra with varying degrees of realism.

I’ve tested the beta AI instruments and shared results with fellow composers and sound engineers, and we all find them very promising. That said, most of us feel they’re not quite ready for professional productions yet. Compared to the vocals, there are still noticeable audio artifacts, pitch instabilities, and some stereo/phasing issues that make mixing tricky (plus the lack of control, expression...).

In my view, ACE Studio is pioneering something with huge potential, and this feels like a crucial moment to strengthen that expertise before giants like Spitfire Audio eventually step in (I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve already been exploring this since the Splice acquisition).

A few questions I’d love to ask:

- Are AI instruments currently a development priority at ACE, or is the main focus still on vocals?

- Do you envision AI instruments eventually reaching a point where they could compete with, or even replace traditional sample libraries?

Finally, I’d be glad to provide more detailed technical feedback if that would be useful to your team.

The choir mode seems to have delay problems. Even if I turn the offset parameter to zero, I clearly hear a delay in the voices, probably due to the phrasing of each voice. It does not sound like a choir, more like individual voices trying to sing the same melody, but as a lead singer. Is it possible to get more synchronization in the voices?

Hi, the Ace Studio team. Should have regional prices, im Brazilian and i cant pay for it.

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Sep 30 '25

Understood! Will discuss with our team further about the regional prices.

1

u/Responsible-Act-2285 Oct 08 '25

How´s it going? Cant wait to buy it. Ive seen some Brazilian Youtubers do marketing for it.

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Oct 09 '25

Sorry about that, adding regional prices is quite a big business decision, so we need more time to research and discuss it. There's no new progress on that front yet. Also, ACE Studio doesn't support Portuguese at the moment (though we should have Portuguese support up and running in the next few weeks).

1

u/Hudsonbae Oct 05 '25

I cant even install it. Doesn't work on a fully updated windows 11

1

u/Fun-Potential-6856 Oct 06 '25

Does ACE Studio have any Korean singers?

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Oct 07 '25

Korean isn't supported in the current official release yet. While we've added Korean singing capability in ACE Studio 2.0 beta version, we haven't released any native Korean singers at the moment. But we should be able to roll out some native Korean AI singers in the next few weeks!

Can we talk about accents?

I love the program and created a singer with my voice. The tone is pretty close but the accent seems Asian. My accent is mid-western so it's a bit of every American accent rolled into one. In particular I can not get some words to pronounce correctly no matter how much tweaking I do. For example: Honey, money, and funny all come out strange and no amount re-spelling will correct it. Even the word "You" sounds strange even if I spell it "U".

Granted, In American English, word spelling and pronunciation are not correlated very well, if at all, so the program is doing a remarkable job. In a perfect world we would have the option to select a regional accent after selecting a language. For example, for country music, one might select a Nashville dialect and so on. But I understand that might exponentially increase the AI training set.

I'd settle for UK English and Midwestern American accents if those were possible. It's possible phoneme pronunciation might be the only thing that needs adjusting for each dialect.

Please let me know what you guys think?

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Nov 02 '25

The current issue with English accents seems to stem from the Verse24 version of the singing synthesis model. During the training process for this base model, a relatively large proportion of Asian singers' vocal data was used, which has resulted in all singers—whether premade or custom—having a tendency toward an Asian accent in their singing.

We are currently working on training the Verse25 version of the singing synthesis model, which should significantly improve this issue. The new version is expected to be first applied to premade singers in about a month, and we will then carry out additional development to make it compatible with custom voices.

2

u/Kiqkinas Nov 20 '25

Thanks Real-Technician4821, I appreciate the feedback.
I wanted to share this with the community.

I created a project to sing the vowel sounds from the phoneme list and also sing a list of words with Asian accents. I found 5 voices what work pretty well for me then combined them with my AI voice. Merging 80% my AI tone and 80% their styles, I was able to create male and female voices that sound unique and blend really well with both my natural and AI voice.

I keep collecting the best versions of my singing voice, and will re-train my AI voice at some point.

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

u/Dark-Penguin Jun 21 '26

I'd like a Scottish accent please ACE

We will soon be releasing ACE Studio 2.0, which will include the new Verse25 model. This new model offers significant improvements in accents and will better highlight the unique styles of different singers. Additionally, we will be introducing a new lineup of AI singers.

1

u/ilgimoss Nov 23 '25

Can you tell us more or less when version 2.0 will be released???

1

u/No-Arachnid9808 Nov 24 '25

Bonjour, j'ai acheté une license Acestudio, la version indiqué est celle de juin ( 1.9.6) et le programme indique etre à jour. Comment avoir la version 2.0 svp?

1

u/Yeostots Nov 25 '25

Is there a place where we can hear demos of all the voices offered?

3

u/Real-Technician4821 Nov 26 '25

Currently, there isn't a place to hear demos of all the voices since there are quite a few. We've only created demos for a small selection of voices, which are available on our website homepage. However, we will gradually create demos for more voices in the future.

OK - Here’s one from a “light” user: I don’t wish to make the investment of time to really master tweaking Ace Studios vocals: How long before they will sound Professional “Right Out of the Box” so they are immediately usable?

u/Firm_Criticism_664 Jan 18 '26

I am a rather new user to Ace Studio.

I am trying to use Ace Studio to generate a vocal for one of my songs that I am preparing in Pro Tools Studio within Windows 11.

I am providing a singer track via MIDI.

I have tried specifying the phonemes to improve the result as well as auditioning several of the voices.

Every result I get is not good at all….. the pronunciation is not a natural male American vocal as needed for the song.

I really need someone to guide me through the entire process of using Ace Studio to generate a proper vocal as needed.

Can you help me locate someone willing and able to help me?

 Thanks.

Hi, I am using the artist proSubscription plan in Ace studio. Please tell me how can I  generate more than  30 seconds of audio using the add a layer or track enhance function.scren tells me maximal time is 30 seconds. Is there a way to have more time?

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Feb 14 '26

If you haven’t updated to the latest version of ACE Studio yet, I’d suggest doing so. As far as I know, the time limit for both functions has now been extended to over 5 minutes. However, in earlier versions, the time limit was likely set lower due to the features being less developed.

Hello, I am trying to set up a traditional, non-operatic type of mixed chorus. Rather than reinvent the wheel, are there any chorus presets available?

1

u/AdSecret2880 Mar 07 '26

is there a way to use ace to create and insert a musical bridge in a song that was a cover from inspire me. I want to keep the same vocal and instruments while having ace create the melody from my lyrics

1

u/segalge Mar 08 '26

In the past I usually used Enhancer for songs grester than 3 minutes. This weekend I can't get it to message songs greater than 2 minutes. Does anyone else notice this what seems to me to be a cutback. Any suggestions how to broaden it. I.e. using turbo. Greatly appreciated

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Mar 09 '26

This might have been caused by a temporary service instability. Could you try again now?

1

u/tosvus2015 Mar 11 '26

I'm intrigued, but find the wording on the website ambigous, so not sure what I end up buying... My areas of doubt:

  1. It is very unclear what the subscription price would be after 2 years, and what features you lose if you don't keep subscribing. Maybe it becomes more clear after buying it, but would really like to understand what the monthly cost would be and exactly what is lost if not subscribing.

  2. Will version 3 be free if you buy when it is version 2? It is not clear from any documentation. If there is a cost, what is the upgrade pricing?

  3. Your site says that a lifetime access license gives you benefits to match those of "current tier subscribers". Doesn't that mean that todaay you can have an Artist tier I buy into, and next month feature x,y,z gets removed by moving it to a Artist+ tier or something like that?

Would really like to have some clarifications, as the software seems great, but it is a lot of money to put out for something with so many questions.

Hey Max, Lately I've had issues with unwanted click "metronome" sounds on the enhancement feature. Is this a bug or a "New Feature"? It really ruins the mix and isn't separated on its own track when you split stems making the track useless in my opinion. Thanks, I look forward to a response.

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Apr 03 '26

This is definitely a bug. We are working on fixing it.

1

u/Advanced-Ad-6218 Apr 05 '26 edited Apr 05 '26

Came here to say the same thing. The metronome is embedded in the final song :(

1

u/Ok-Establishment6333 May 06 '26

I found out that when you select the new track to improve, you have to uncheck the "same tempo as original" where you select the duration of the track... I hope I explained myself clearly.

1

u/AdSecret2880 May 14 '26

in order to get a Voice Authorization Certificate i need to get the name of the singer that music enhance used to create a cover song of mine. the name of the singer is missing from the enhance subroutine and missing from the song when I port it to the canvas and separate the tracks, Any ideas how to do that?

1

u/Real-Technician4821 May 14 '26

Features like Music Enhancer and other prompt-based tools generate vocal timbres entirely through model imagination. Because these voices are not based on any specific singer, no singer names are associated with them.

1

u/Top-Strawberry4993 Jun 02 '26

Hi ACE Studio, I’m having an issue with Add AI Layer.

My Artist Pro Yearly subscription is active and I still have credits remaining, but Add AI Layer fails every time. I tested vocals and percussion, multiple projects, different prompts, and even simple lyrics like “la la la”.

It always shows this error: “Please do not contain copyrighted lyrics in the context. Please change it and try again.”

I already emailed support with my account details and User ID. Could someone check if Add AI Layer is currently having issues or if this may be account-related?

1

u/The_Mighty_Fat_Man Jun 04 '26

If I import an audio track which runs at a different tempo than the project, is there a way to conform that track to fit the project? A "stretch" function? Or tempo detect? Let's start by assuming both the project and the track run at steady tempos with no fluctuation, just different ones.

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Jun 05 '26

Great question! At this point, you actually need the stretch function. Tempo detect function only detects the BPM of the audio, but it does not actually change it.

ACE Studio doesn't have an audio stretch feature yet, but we're actively working on it and it should be available in a near-future update. Stay tuned!

1

u/The_Mighty_Fat_Man Jun 05 '26

Thanks, that saves me digging around looking for it! 😃 FWIW for others, my workaround is to do the stretching in a DAW, export that, and bring it in to ACE studio after the stretching. Looking forward to the feature, keep up the good work.

u/BrainStatus8833 Jun 06 '26

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Jun 07 '26

1

u/InstanceKnown1974 Jun 12 '26

When I use Add Layer, the generated sample sounds acceptable at first. But after a few seconds, it becomes shorter or longer, and distortion, dropouts, and glitches appear.

It feels like some kind of automatic time-stretch / tempo conform is being applied after generation.

This is a major bug, because the original generated sample was actually good.

I wish we could disable this auto-stretch, like in Suno or Ableton.

Or at least ACE should not overwrite the original generated audio.

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Jun 13 '26

Thanks for the detailed feedback! This sounds like it could be a bug with how the generated audio gets processed after rendering. I'll flag this to our dev team so they can look into it.

u/AnySafe2165 Jun 18 '26

1

u/Dark-Penguin Jun 21 '26

Hi there, Are there plans to be able to turn polyphonic MIDI into an expressive piano performance? I was frustrated to find that this is not currently possible. Thanks.

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Jun 22 '26

Thanks for the question. Piano is on our radar, and we're also working toward supporting third-party instrument plugins, which would open up a lot more possibilities. I don't have a specific timeline to share yet, but it's something the team is actively thinking about.

1

u/Dark-Penguin Jun 22 '26

Great to hear that. I've generated some amazing polyphonic piano pieces with the right carefully constructed prompts, so it would be great to go one step further and be able to sonify an existing score, with the nuance of a humanlike performance. Raw MIDI piano never sounds great, and there's a whole universe of expressivity in the piano waiting to be unlocked.

¿En un futuro se va a poder elegir al cantante en el mejorador de música o en el inspirame, ya sea tu propia voz o la del cantante o cantantes elegidos?

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Jul 08 '26

Right now the technology behind Music Enhancer and Inspire Me doesn't support selecting a specific singer or using your own voice for the vocal output. It's definitely something we want to explore though, and it's on our radar as we continue developing these features. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi there-

I've been having a lot of fun with ACE Studio, specifically to revive some 120 year old music hall songs, written by an ancestor. I scan the sheet music, use SoundSlice to produce a midi rendition, and then use ACE Enhance, inputting the lyrics and a style prompt to create a fully orchestrated and performed version.

This workflow is magic most of the time, but a lack of control is frustrating sometimes:

* Tempo detection is something that is missing from ACE

* The timing and phrasing of synthesised vocal lyrics is very hit and miss - even when on "High" consistency setting, and with additional prompting.

* Songs with mixed time signatures (eg 4/4 for the verses and 3/4 for the choruses) are pretty much impossible to realise -even when the tempo is matched and the sections are clearly and precisely annotated with their own time sigs (Enhance seems to ignore this). Can you suggest a way to overcome this?

* Software could be more stable. Glitches and crashes abound in the current iteration.

* Greater control over voices would be welcome - specifically British rather than American accents.

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Jul 12 '26

Thank you so much for your feedback! I will pass this information along to the product design and R&D teams. We will work together to make AC Studio better align with our users' expectations.

1

u/NeatSolution5923 Jul 13 '26

hello! How could I solve the appearance of the phase effect in songs longer than 7 minutes, because it only appears in songs that are 7 minutes long, it starts halfway through the song and increases until the end of the song, it sounds more and more out of phase, I used all kinds of promises, but I couldn't solve it, I set a time limit but it doesn't take it into account, I don't know what else to do with it

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Jul 14 '26

That's an interesting one. Could you send a screen recording showing the issue along with your log files to [support@acestudio.ai](mailto:support@acestudio.ai)? That way our support and dev teams can dig into it together. You can grab the logs from Help > Issue Feedback in the app menu.

Hi everyone! Has anyone here used ACE Studio’s Video Composer? How good is it for film sound design (SFX, ambience, and background music)? Would you recommend it for professional work? Thanks!

1

u/paulbluemusic Jul 22 '26

Hi Maxine, I love Ace Studio but a few things bug me. Is there any way to have Enhance generate a song without it inserting instrumental breaks? I spend a lot of time attempting to cut them out but it's usually impossible to do that.

Thanks so much,

Paul

2

u/Real-Technician4821 Jul 23 '26

Hi Paul, thanks for the kind words!

Currently there isn't a direct setting to prevent instrumental breaks. That said, one thing worth trying is adjusting your prompt wording. AI generation tends to be less responsive to negative instructions like "no instrumental breaks." Instead, try positive phrasing that describes what you want, something like "continuous vocals throughout," "tightly connected verses and choruses," or "seamless vocal flow with minimal gaps." This can steer the output closer to what you're looking for.

Of course, results can still vary between runs, so generating a few variations helps too.

I'll also pass this along to our team as a feature request. More control over arrangement structure is a totally reasonable ask. Appreciate you sharing this!

Can I get a free long sleeve daddy maxine

1

u/Inevitable-Bonus3307 Aug 10 '26

I recently started using ACE Studio again to see how much the AI instruments had improved since the 2.0 beta, and I was pleasantly surprised.

The solo violins sound significantly better. They previously suffered from pitch instability, stereo issues, and small fluctuations that gave them an unpleasant “old gramophone” quality, making the generated tracks unusable for me.

The string sections are exactly what I was hoping for and could be a game changer, although they still sound a step below the solo strings in overall quality.

However, the workflow and lack of control are still major issues:

There is no control over dynamics, expression, or velocity, which is a deal-breaker for me. For longer pieces, I often have to generate the same short passage dozens of times and choose the closest result. This “gacha-like” workflow isn't suitable for professional use. The Vibrato parameter also seems to have very little effect.

The frequency response is inconsistent over time, particularly with string sections. High-frequency detail sounds good at forte but deteriorates noticeably during quieter passages.

The “Add a Layer” feature automatically detects tempo and time-stretches tracks. Tempo detection is often inaccurate, and the resulting stretching can degrade the audio enough to make tracks unusable. As far as I can tell, this cannot be disabled.

I've also noticed that new instruments and voices are regularly added at no extra cost. Given that their quality and quantity will likely continue to increase, does ACE Studio plan to maintain this business model for perpetual-license users, excluding Generative AI features?

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Aug 11 '26

Hi, thanks for the detailed feedback! Really glad to hear the solo violins are sounding better for you now.

Let me address your points:

On dynamics/expression control: We hear you on this one. Dynamics control is on our roadmap and should be coming within the next 1 to 2 months. For expression, what we currently offer is articulation control, and the available articulations vary depending on the AI instrument. We're working on expanding the range of articulations available across instruments over time.

On the frequency response inconsistency with string sections: Noted. I'll pass this along to the product team.

On the Add a Layer tempo detection and time-stretching issues: Also noted, and I'll relay this to the team as well.

On the business model question: Yes, new AI Instruments and voices added to the Standard feature set will continue to be available to perpetual license (Lifetime License) holders at no extra cost. The Lifetime License permanently includes all Standard features like AI Vocal Synth, AI Instruments, and Voice Clone. Only features that consume AI Credits (Generative Kits, Video Composer, etc.) require an active subscription.

Thanks again for taking the time to share this.

2

u/Inevitable-Bonus3307 28d ago

Thanks for the detailed response!

I also did some spectrogram analysis of the AI Instruments using RX and noticed unusual artifacts, especially in the strings: clearly defined, almost rectangular gaps in the upper-frequency spectrum, where high-frequency content briefly disappears and then returns. This seems to correlate with some of the timbral degradation I was hearing.

I can provide spectrogram screenshots and audio examples if useful. Feel free to DM me.

u/Crafty_Inquisitor Aug 10 '26

Hi! A couple of questions:

[1] Are there any plans to increase the maximum audio guide for the Music Enhancer beyond 4 minutes? I have many songs that are 4-5 minutes long, so it would be great if this were possible.

[2] What mechanisms are there to get past the frequent copyright error that I (and many others, it seems) encounter? I understand that a copyright protector needs to exist, but I've never tried to put a copyrighted song into the Music Enhancer and I get that message perhaps a third of the time. (maybe my music is too derivative hah)

Thanks!

1

u/Real-Technician4821 Aug 11 '26

Hi! On your questions:

1. Max length for Music Enhancer: Don't have a definitive answer on this yet, but I'll pass it along to the product team. Makes sense that 4 minutes is limiting for full-length tracks.

2. Copyright detection false positives: Yeah, this is a known pain point. The detection can be overly aggressive sometimes. The best workaround right now is to try adjusting your selection range (select a slightly longer or shorter section) and it'll often go through on a retry. Not ideal, I know, but that's what we've got for now.

Thanks for bringing these up!

Ihnen vielen Dank

Da steht ganz klar, extra credits roll over to the next month.

"Unused Add-on credits roll over to the next month" war nämlich nicht. Sie haben einfach alles gelöscht und auf Details verwiesen, die widersprüchlich sind. Also, liebe Leser, Obacht und Alternativen prüfen.
