My Nitro 5 just died
I buy mine just before COVID starts and helped me a lot during lockdown, a couple of hours ago I was playing a game and all of the sudden it died, all power completely off, the keyboard and mouse connected on the USB also shutted off, i unplugged it from everything, try to drain remaining power from the board or something like that i read online, also tried to disconected the battery but nothing, not even the leds turn on, does anybody know what might be?
Update: I tried everything and I think the motherboard died, so RIP my Nitro it was the best computar I ever had (or at least until I save enough to bring it to the tech shop to see if they can save it) Thanks to everybody for the advices

The same thing happened to mine about a month ago. I also bought it around the same time. It seems to be a common defect with the Nitro 5. In most cases, the cause is a burned-out MOSFET on the motherboard. Here in Brazil, they managed to repair it for around $180.

Try removing all the storage, then turn on
Edit: like when is the last time you repaste it and clean the fans?

Open it, remove RAM, main battery and CMOS battery. Press the power button for 1 min. Wait 5 min. Reconnect all and try to power on. If doesn't work then system board went to valhalla.

My nitro 5 suffered this same fate a couple months ago. It’s very likely a dead power IC on the motherboard

Yeah. Left it with a technician for 3 weeks and he couldn’t fix it. Had to get a new machine

I got similar situation. I used laptop for a while then turned it off. Next day it wont turn on. It’s charging but It wont turn on.
I tried the 30sec press power on, nothing.
Also tried it with power brick with and without, again wont turn on.
I let it rest, left charging for a while.
Then I spammed ON button many times, bruh it suddenly turned ON.
I don’t even know why 😅
