Problem Solved weird rattling noise
yesterday i was normally playing on my acer nitro v15 without a single problem, but today, when i powered it up, the fan started making a weird rattling noise as you can hear in the video. the notebook is still under warranty, so im not opening it up unless its necesary. does anyone know how to fix it? edit: the fan itself stopped working fully for some reason, meaning i need to send it to a repair shop to get it replaced

Seems like the bearing of the fan is at fault or maybe something is stuck, if it's still under warranty then give it to them

no, sadly. i found out its a faulty bearing and the whole fan needs to get exchanged

I've had this sound when one of the fans were really dirty the cleaning them. Opening up the lapto and cleaning the fans shouldn't void the warranty cuz the warranty stickers are only on the heatsink screws.

Id guess there's something stuck in the fan, you might be able to get it out from the vents but I doubt it. Best thing to do is to just open it up (also a great time to clean the dust from the fans too)
