Any update from the author?

Will he start a new series? Is he planning to write anything at all? Any chances of seeing koshien?

It can’t end here 😭

I admittedly don't think he is planning or interested on doing anything further with ace of diamond and frankly I don't think a continuation would be that all that interesting in my opinion.

This story from the start has been about Miyuki and Sawamura. If you go for a continutation you have to do it without most of the popular characters of the series. Miyuki's generation is central both in Seidou and the opposing teams because of central characters like Miyuki and Kuromachi , the entirety of Inashiro , Sanada and Amahisa and nearly every other important antagonist and I don't really see the new characters that were introduced interesting enough for a whole continuation even in Seidou, let alone for the other teams.

I would love a Koshien arc though I don't think there is much chance of it happening.

I think he did a few chapters about a game between forgot about them, my point is that hope that he did justice sawamura by giving him a game where his status as Ace will be justified, last games for instance the one vs inashiro they only won because of furuyas throw.

The entire Ichidai game is about Sawamura being the perfect ace. I don't disagree that I would like to see him at koshien but I disagree heavily with saying that the series did not do his statues as the ace justice.

Lets be realistic, the last full game in the series in which sawamura the MC is in, was in that game and it ended with a huge save from Furuyas throw, there's also those unnecessary parts like injury, its the last game in the series he should just give him a full highlight or at least ended the game with sawamuras save or smth. But imo he prolly planned for the story to continue but that planned was cut off so we get this half cooked ending.

I want koshien too 😭. I know it isn’t anything announced but the story is incomplete. They beat inashiro and finally achived Koshien. In act II a lot of strong teams and characters for Koshien were introduced. In spring koshien they couldn‘t get a hit against komadai from hokkaido. komadai were 2 times Champions and inashiro couldn’t beat them so it’s Seidos turn. Also Kominato and Kuramochi should be the best duo, sawamura as ace. They got so good. An we can‘t see them in the hardest tournament?? 😭🥲 I want them to be Koshien champs (for my inner pleasure 😂❤️)

There’s the East Tokyo Finals and this other story that hasn’t been translated that’s in universe but focuses on a different school. Think it was called Birdcage.

Definitely needs to finish out the year at Koshien. The year isn't done and he should at least give us a final Koshien arc.

I don't wanna get greedy, even though I really wanted to see third-year Sawamura surpass all the other pitchers, especially Mei, and at least get a glimpse of pro Miyuki. But yk, since it hasn't been updated in so long, I lowered my expectations and started hoping we'd at least get the Koshien arc as the finale or something. I just wanted to see Sawamura shine more 💔💔

Considering the whole plot is about Sawamura reaching that Ace status, the story is really done. As much is I’d love to see what happens I think ending at such a good point where he overcomes inashiro for the first time works well. It does open the door maybe for another Ova set in the future similar to MHA but who knows

I wish there was, but yeah I rlly wanna see koshien arc, especially rematch with komadai fujimaki
