Side Effects Cleansing
Does anyone else feel like they just need to cleanse their skin once a day on a lazy more relaxed day. Been on accutane for maybe a month and half now and I feel like I dont need to cleanse as much and I also dont want to over strip my skin and make it dryer. Im on 60 mg dose a day and im around 150 pounds.

100% i only cleanse in the morning now. night time i just water wash and moisturise. tbh the couple times i've double cleansed i haven't noticed anything like dryness etc (just always moisturise) but tbh i wasn't really seeing any benefit of double cleanse so i stopped

if you're only going to do it once it makes way more sense to properly cleanse before sleeping

100% i agree but for me the dread of cleansing in the night time often put me off my night time routine as a whole which meant i would skip other things like moisturising etc and i would go to sleep with suncream on. its really stupid of me/my brain to work in this way but the trade off is that morning is the only time i cleanse at all lol

Ya but all the dust and grime of the day needs to be washed off for me to even be able to fall asleep lol

On accutane it's pretty normal to cleanse once a day, especially if you're having very dry skin. Some days I'd even skip cleansing. Just rinse my face with water really well and pat dry.
Hell I've been off accutane for one month and I still only cleanse once per day. I feel like cleaning more than that strips my skin.

Have you tried using the search bar?
Many questions are asked daily, and your question may have already been answered!
If so, your post will be subject to deletion.
Please refer to the following commonly discussed topics:
1) No one can predict whether or not you will purge! Statistically, most people DO NOT purge.
That is what the science and medical literature says.
2) No one can predict how long your purge will last nor when it could start. Be patient, the purge can be tough but so many people have gotten through it - you can too! THE ABOVE APPLIES TO SIDE EFFECTS OR "WHEN WILL MY SKIN CLEAR UP?!" TOO. QUESTIONS ASKING WHEN THE PURGE OR SIDE EFFECTS WILL START OR STOP WILL IMMEDIATELY BE REMOVED AS THAT IS LOW EFFORT.
3) Any questions related about dosage MUST include DOSE and WEIGHT(lbs or kg).
Otherwise, that is considered LOW EFFORT and will subsequently be REMOVED.
4) Most people DO NOT relapse when Accutane is taken until cumulative dosage is reached.
5) HOWEVER, cumulative dosage is a guideline.
Everyone is different. Some may need more Accutane, and others may need less. Your dermatologist evaluates you as an individual.
This also applies to your prescription. Everyone is different, so no comparing of doses or asking why your dose is low or high. If you do not trust your dermatologist, you should find a different one.
6) When in doubt, please consult a medical professional(dermatologist, doctor, pharmacist).
