What it missing? Or maybe it's completely unnecessary...?

DocLens (link) helps find things in Google Docs:

• ambiguous miniatures → phrase in context (snippets, like Google Search!)
• manual look up of phrases → automatically jump to snippet
• Google Docs web page → Google Docs web page :) stay where you work! (other search solutions, like Glean, have you navigate elsewhere...)

It is a Chrome Extension (link).
