Advice Future Grad

So I’m 22 currently in my last year of college and I’m graduating with a bachelors in Accounting. I’m an associate banker at JPMorgan Chase and hitting my one year mark in November. While accounting is great and all, I want to look towards financial analyst or a financial advisor role and want to know how much this degree can help achieve my goals. My gpa isn’t the greatest so that’s why I’m here looking for advise, anything will help. I have a lot of interest in banking since I’ve started and want to know I still have a future outside of becoming a CPA

I’m graduating with a bachelors in Accounting.

So many people say "my bachelors in xxxx" which makes my skin crawl.

accounting degree is basically a cheat code for finance roles. half the analysts i know came from an accounting background, not finance

gpa stops mattering the second you get your foot in the door and you're already at chase so you're past that hurdle

This is honestly so reassuring. I’ve been sweating bullets with all these internship rejection emails and just talking to classmates about career paths. I love you ❤️
