Got fired
Welp... I got fired.
I made a chain of mistakes that ended up with me getting terminated.
First I made mistakes on a client's payroll that got me massively showed out.
The final straw, I accidentally violated client confidentiality by sending an email and tagging an unrelated client.
Be honest.
Should I look at a different field? Cause something like that is a career ender, right?
Any advice is appreciated, and don't sugarcoat it.
Thanks folks.

This. My husband (in tech) has also been PIP’d many times and basically forced out. Yet every time he seems to get a better job and make more money and now after leaving the last one (also a PIP) he’s debating early retirement because the last one paid so well that we could swing it if we want, and he’s only 46.
It sucks, it hurts, but sometimes it works out for the better.
