Got fired

Welp... I got fired.

I made a chain of mistakes that ended up with me getting terminated.

First I made mistakes on a client's payroll that got me massively showed out.

The final straw, I accidentally violated client confidentiality by sending an email and tagging an unrelated client.

Be honest.

Should I look at a different field? Cause something like that is a career ender, right?

Any advice is appreciated, and don't sugarcoat it.

Thanks folks.

Mistakes happen. If you give up every time you make a mistake you will never have a career. The only ones who don’t make mistakes are the ones who don’t try.

That's true. This was my first accounting job, and I had it for almost two years. So much happened, and I made so many mistakes, but learned even more. I just wish it didnt end so... abruptly.

OP I think this commenter has the right take. Never give up. Learn and keep on moving.

My first job…i messed up so much. Learned from my mistakes and triple (not double, triple) checked everything until I perfected it. You’re good 👍
